Well, you're a fine one to talk about having the balls to say things to someone's face considering what you get up to elsewhere. With that in mind, I'm surprised you're still a mod.

Jolly good. Always pays to keep the tools of the trade close to hand, you never know when they may be needed!

I don't like burqas, full-face shields and so on. But I defend their right to wear them. Just as I should be able to go into a bank with a balaclava on and conduct my business peacefully. If people look at me and swear at me for wearing an IRA mask then that's my problem.

I've travelled all around England with my work and lived in numerous different cities - what you're saying is inflammatory bullcrap - do you need dictionary.com to find out the meaning of the word 'dominate'?

women wearing the kind of dress you describe are statistically insignificant, even amongst the Muslim population, let alone taking the population as a whole, to say they 'dominate many districts of large cities' is not a view that can be taken seriously

you obviously don't live in a large city, old chap

Statistically the numbers may be small when compared to the whole population, but as these ethnic groups cluster into specific areas then this dress does dominate in certain of those areas, amongst the females, naturally. I've a good mind to take my camera out and prove the point.

id be careful i know its frustrating if you have an opinion that others dont believe but i think you can get arrested for soing that
when iwas in rusholme last year there were some men wearing no shirts covered in blood beating each other up
it was really horrible as the street was closed off and the bus i was on got caught up in it u cudent look away it was so horirfic
so anyway a man got up on the bus and said i shouldnt have to see this in my country
and basically a police man got on the bus and arrested him
im presuming for disturbing the peace
but i got where he was coming from
a large group of white shirtless men would not be able to beat each other up in public or publically self harm
my point is
dont take any pictures because youll be the one who gets in troubel

this would be the shia muslim festival of ashura

I've stood in Rusholme and watched it too, they don't beat each other up, only themselves

doesn't mean much to me but I don't see what the problem is with them doing it if that's what they want

i must just be a wimp then
although i see blood every day i hate it when its self inflicted i want them to stop hurting themselves i want to give people who hurt themselves a cup of tea and a blanket and have a chat
but this was something else
i know now anyway
i just dont go that way when its on
x
ps thanx for actually telling me the name of the festival

People work in very strange ways. I expect you'd be very freaked out by some practices in BDSM and other stuff like that (not my cup of tea, personally). :)
