Massachusetts does not have an enforceable death penalty statute, having been struck down by court ruling in 1984.

He is likely to spend his remaining days in prison, so for now give Dzhokhar just enough lidocaine to get a full confession from him, but otherwise show the dog no mercy for the rest of his miserable life.

Isn't terrorism a federal crime? Can't he be executed for that?

he did not have his Miranda rights read
he wont get a trial
he does not have the right to remain silent or have a lawyer
basically all his rights as a us citizen have been removed

the goverment is trampling all over the constitution and people are clapping and cheering USA USA USA

the founding fathers are rolling so fast in their graves they could be an alternate energy source

People settle that with a flame war. If bashing religion was prohibited, most of the devout atheists would be banned!

Treason is the only crime defined by the U.S. Constitution. It is defined as a citizen making war against the United States or giving aid and comfort to an enemy making war against the United States.

There are 21 capital offenses in the United States Code, including 4 subcategories of First Degree Murder.

I believe the following would be candidate categories for Tsarnaev the Younger, assuming conviction...
- Causing death by using an explosive
- Causing death by using an illegal firearm
- Murder that is willful, deliberate, malicious, and premeditated

All of these things are federal felonies when committed on federal property, such as a military base.

Otherwise the law of the State in which the act was committed has prior jurisdiction.

For example Timothy McVey was convicted and sentenced in a State court (Oklahoma) and was put to death by the authorites of Oklahoma.

It wouldn't matter if there was no Islam, there would still be f**k*d up people who would do these things. If they needed to justify their actions by cowering under some cause, they could find one.

This part is incorrect. He was tried and convicted in a Federal court in Denver, and was executed in Indiana.

Thank you for the correction. I assume that he was tried under federal law because there were government offices in the Marrah Bld. that were destroyed.

Yup. Here is the indictment:

I should have checked first, then typed second.

there is no real proof that they even did anything with the bombing

they also both went missing 2 weeks before this happened
just like James Holmes
just like Adam Lanza

you know who were all over the bomb site before it went off?
craft international a mercenary group
one of the two closest to the bomb site had a black backpack
after the bomb he is seen grouping with other craft members without the backpack

food for thought

But considering that this web page also advertises for Ron Paul's anti-fluoridation scare, and Alex Jones' nuttery, I can't say I find the source particularly reliable, I'm afraid.
Let me see this stuff on CNN, then I'll give it credence.

I trust the rules and guidelines on WP prohibit vilifying people's religions?

Any muslims on WP who would like to respond to Mr Ruveyn?
I myself am not really a Muslim, but more like a modern deist. Yet, just like Muslims, I believe in a singular Supreme Being. Here are some articles in response to the misunderstanding of Islam, in relation to terrorism, and wartime attrocity. First of all the Quran passage cited is an eisogesis. http://www.muslimaccess.com/articles/jihad/kill_the_infidels.asp Also there are rules of conduct concerning legitimate war, in Islam. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islamic_military_jurisprudence So, in respects to combat, I do not view Muslims as being any more aggressive than many other religions.
