you are toying with me. that is bad karma. we both know that you know what I was talking about when I said I wished the concept of weapons did not have to exist in this world. for you to inject spurioius legalism into this is just mean.

One, I don't believe in karma, and two, I don't believe I said anything mean, I dissected something you said with a joke. Like I said in the other thread, I've shrugged off little potshots and insults from you for years, but that stops now; understand that if this continues, it's on you from this point on.

I have made no attacks against you. you are making war, not me.

Every pithy comment about gun owners and libertarians, blanket indictment of "right wingers", every suggestion that I'm uncaring or unfeeling, that I'm "alien" to you, any of that ringing a bell?

still they are not against you. you are making war because you take the fact that I am different from yourself to be a personal attack. I have never used the term "uncaring" against you. in terms of "alien," well everybody on earth is alien to me, so don't feel special. you are basically telling me to stifle myself, that you feel I have no right to my opinions, that is the long and short of it. in short, what you have said to me is invalidating in the rush limburger mode.

I feel like I'm awkwardly posting something in the midddle of an argument and this really has nothing to do with anything but...
I heard a few years ago that you're more likely to be killed by a champaine cork than by a spider bite (I don't actually know if that's true, but I'm assuming that when somebody opened a bottle of champaine the cork went flying into somebody's mouth and they choked, also that these statistics didn't come from Brazil or anywhere else they have massive insects [though a spider isn't an insect] designed to kill you.)
Maybe we should all just go back to fist fighting?

Hiya Umbrellabirds :) welcome to the club 8) you are welcome relief like a breath of fresh air here. I heard once about some poor little boy who was killed on a fishing boat when a flying fish flew into his mouth and down his throat. I am positive THAT has nothing to do with anything here outside of death in general  maybe it depends on one's environment as to which is the most common mode of death?

Same reason we're not going to go back to walking everywhere and living in caves or trees: Technological advancement.
When the first human or pre-human animal discovered that he could do a better job of stoving his enemies skull in with a rock or makeshift club the shift from fists began, not that we still don't use our fists sometimes.
