The Internet quickly confirmed my worst fears. “Gay as a tree full of chickadees,” one Twitter user sneered. “Jared Kushner sounds exactly like I expected him to sound – super f*****g gay,” tweeted another. Still another mocked, “Hearing his voice is a reminder that masculinity is dying. #CorruptAndEffeminate.” Late-night comedian Seth Meyers even got in on the action, joking, “[Kushner’s] title says senior adviser to the president, but his voice says senior at Claremont High School.”
On and on they went. Some insulted Kushner’s anatomy (“Dude is a eunuch. Somebody f****d up that circumcision”). Others attacked his masculinity (“Kushner is an important reminder that you can’t buy puberty”) or his sexual prowess (“After hearing Jared Kushner’s voice, I understand why Ivanka was staring at Justin Trudeau with those hungry eyes”). Many commenters questioned Kushner’s sexual orientation (“Why Jared Kushner always seem like he low key looking at your dick from one urinal over[?]”) or his gender identity (“As expected, he sounds as if he’s months into hormone replacement therapy for forthcoming sexual reassignment surgery”).
This situation shows just how little people think about the values they profess.
It also makes me think about my own voice. I sing tenor, and can hit some fairly high notes. My voice didn't change by itself. I deliberately lowered the pitch of my own voice when I got near the end of high school and realized it wasn't going to change itself. It seemed more effective, and I have the acting chops to adopt a wide range of voices, so I overcame my shyness a little and broadened my range. I feel bad, though, for folks who don't find it as easy.

This is what I mean by Trump Derangement Syndrome. Not people who don't support Trump or who dislike him. I mean over the top kooky hyperbole like that.
And no, I don't think Chris Matthews is insane. I just think he those like him need to get a grip and tone it down. They're just making themselves look bad.

Would a more progressive site be ok?

At least, when a conservative does it, he is staying in character.

Weird. In terms of coverage, the first article provided more context. Reading the entire exchange, it's clear Matthews had Kushner's policy portfolio and experience in mind, but I still don't follow the logic. It doesn't really relate to the bigoted reaction to Kushner"s voice, though.

Matthews didn't say anything about Kushner being effeminate; he just said that at least, Mussolini had had his son-in-law shot.

I DON'T THINK SO!
Geez, people, if you want to cut down a person, LISTEN TO WHAT THEY ARE SAYING, RATHER THAN THE TEXTURE OF THEIR VOICE!
As the old saying goes, "You can't tell a book by it's cover!"
Some people will assume so, or even expect it to be okay to voice shame you, just like fat shaming used to be more commonly accepted. I'd suggest experimenting with changing your pitch and looking for changes.
