Indigenous Peoples' March Washington, DC
Here's some facts for you;
1. The march was organised to protest abortion yet the Covington boys were wearing MAGA hats
2. The teens had been filmed at basketball games being racist at opposition teams
3. They were filmed sexually harrasing girls along the march
4. There were hundreds of schoolboys but only four black Israelites. Therefore there was never any physical threat to the Covington schoolboys as falsely claimed by the mother and by Fox news
5. The boys and their adult minders crossed the street away from the main march in order to confront the 4 black Israelites
(the black Israelites were preoccupied with shouting obscenities at people on their side of the street (mainly aimed at African Americans who are actually their target audience). Fox news made it sound like the blacks were there to specifically target the march (another falsehood)
6. The black Israelites were known to the Covington school boys (i.e. no shock at their behaviour), the boys targeted them because they were bored of the antiabortion march and thought it would be more fun to chant pro-Trump slogans at the "blacks" and incite them
7. Nathan Phillips was concerned for the welfare of the 4 black men surrounded by the hundred or so youth (he never intended to accost the kids to cause trouble as his group was badly outnumbered) (another falsehood)
6. The teenagers behind the MAGA teen facing off with Phillips were i) shouting the n-word and ii) racially abusing native Americans. They apparently did not care what Phillip's intentions were as they assumed since he was not white he was lumped in with the blacks.
7. The MAGA teen's face off at 64 yr old Phillips was classic school boy intimidation knowing he had hundreds of thugs to back him up he was smugly daring the tiny group of native Americans to do something to provide a trigger to fight. There was absolutely nothing brave about the little coward's behavior
8. Somehow the adult minders with the school boys managed to avoid responsibility despite egging on the teens.
None of these are facts , they are opinions except for #1 There is video evidence of them wearing hats.
This is an interesting video

I saw one kid yell “It’s not rape if you enjoy it”.
I'm not sure that kid was from Covington , in a video I heard someone say he's not from Covington straight after his comment. Is he from Covington ? Not that changes anything , the kid was a dick.

For crying out loud, people, if you are going to make a bloody argument, do so WITHOUT resorting to these tactics: https://thebestschools.org/magazine/15- ... cies-know/
A list for those who don't want to click a link:
1. Ad hominem(personal attacks where a person's characteristics are criticized when they are irrelevant to the topic at hand)
2. Straw man(attacking a position the opponent doesn't actually hold, often with the intent of falsely invalidating solid evidence)
3. Appeal to Ignorance("If you can't prove it isn't true, it must be true. If you can't prove it is true, it must be false" If you can use the exact same argument for opposing sides, it's probably not a good argument.)
4. False dichotomy(basically an "either-or" argument. It relies on pumping one side of an argument up and characterizing the other side as less-than or evil)
5. Slippery Slope(More or less using an illogical or highly unlikely chain of causation to support one side of an argument)
6. Circular argument(When a person's argument repeats the assumptions they already had beforehand, arriving at no new conclusions.)
7. Hasty Generalizations(Statements, often with broad-strokes, made without sufficient evidence to support the claim. They are called hasty because they often are based on stereotypes.)
8. Red Herring(Typically a distraction from the actual argument topic by expressing a sentiment that only confuses and obscures in order to redirect to an easier to address topic.)
9. Appeal to Hypocrisy(Pointing out hypocrisy in an opponent in order to distract from the argument.)
10. Casual Fallacy(Assuming things about a group that have not be clearly proven with evidence.
Not going to post the rest as the ones I have listed are ones I have seen in this thread. Now, can we have an actual discussion of the FACTS instead of bs fallacious arguments?

there are many on this site who are totally impervious to such. they just don't get it.
I think that some of them get it full well but pretend they don't and that their support of freedom to wear maga hats is a subtle nod of support to all those red caps symbolize.
So anyone who disagree's with your viewpoint of the situation is a nazi , racist , bigot. Is that what your saying ?
No. Anyone with half a brain realizes full well that that's what that hat represents to those who see people wearing them, so to support someone's right to wear that hat is a nod to supporting those things. Full stop.
It has nothing to do with disagreeing with my viewpoint and everything to do with common public perception of what maga hats have come to symbolize. Pretending they're ignorant of what they are perceived as and they're just really really big fans of guys with orange spray tans is total BS.

Let someone else tell you what to think.
Certainly not you.
Almost NO ONE is going to watch the news and then go fact check everything reported. Like WTF? It's reporters' jobs to present the facts, not just make s**t up.
Are we supposed to watch some news about war and then go fly to a conflict zone and see if it's accurate? Like get f*****g real.

That's your choice , but some of us don't believe the media as they can be corrupt and have an agenda that's not the truth.

I read multiple news sources for different perspectives, but I don't spend much time fact checking any of them.. because it's impossible. Am I to travel around the world and interview their sources with a team of lie detecting experts?

It is possible the dick was not from Covington Catholic High School as that school is an all boys high school and there were some girls by him.

I'm not a Trump supporter , I'm not even political. I just try to research things that spark an interest. The whole DC incident has highlighted a big problem with the MSM , social media and the psyche of people in general.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., actors Alyssa Milano and Jim Carey, media organizations CNN, the New York Times and the Washington Post and the Diocese of Covington were among the dozens recently sent preservation letters, the text of which advised the parties not to destroy any documents in connection with the case. The Cincinnati Enquirer first reported on Friday the initial list of organizations, and attorney Todd McMurtry confirmed to Fox News on Monday that more organizations or individuals could also receive letters.
“It’s an enormous pool of possible defendants,” he said, adding only one party had responded to the letter, though he did not say which.
McMurtry, of the Hemmer DeFrank Wessels law firm in Ft. Mitchell, Kentucky, is part of the legal team representing Nick Sandmann
McMurtry told the Enquirer the aftermath of the incident “permanently stained [Nick’s reputation]” and that the organizations and individuals addressed in the letters may have defamed or libeled Nick with false reporting.
He told Fox News that not everyone who received the letter could be called to defend themselves in a court, but that they have basis to believe that they could be sued. He added the documents that should be preserved for any future litigation include any drafts of stories, emails between colleagues discussing the incident, and, for celebrities and individuals, any tweets or statements sent to the public.
In addition to the letters, Sandmann’s legal team – which includes L. Lin Wood, a nationally-recognized attorney in the fields of libel, defamation and the First Amendment – also released a 15-minute video they say show "the truth" of what happened at the March for Life event.
The “truth” video referenced is the video posted in this thread so anything in there as best as possible should be replicated by other sources.

A perception generated by leftist propaganda, which not everyone buys into.

You could, you know, watch all of the videos of the event? This whole time you seem to have been more focused on trying to stir up tempers than in actually discussing the facts, implying that anyone that that disagrees with you are stupid, incompetent, and that fact checking is impossible. Want to know one of the easiest ways to fact check? look for 3 different view points on a topic, from 3 different sources. If you want to get political, look for a left, right and centrist take on it. Instead, you seem to be more concerned with the fact that the kid was smiling at the man beating a drum in his face. Last I checked, smiling isn't a crime. Neither is wearing a particular article of clothing.
Here, the most comprehensive compilation of videos on the even I could find *WARNING, loud noise, cursing, and racial slurs are present in this video* :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GKZn2e9wDBs
Also, You just used Bandwagon Fallacy. as obviously people DO fact-check, and they didn't have to go to a war zone to do it. Who'd a thunk it?
