To an extent, yes, though it also seems to be about the pleasure certain users seem to be getting by putting down these kids and using fallacious arguments to continue this farce of a discussion, and it's also about whether smiling in that situation is appropriate and worthy of people literally calling for them to be murdered and shot on social media.

Well then , I will 'Appeal to Hypocrisy' and point out you are using 'Appeal to Ignorance'

And me posting a list of fallacious argument techniques isn't actually hypocrisy nor is it an appeal to ignorance. Instead it is me pointing out that there are many arguments being used(mostly by goldfish) that are fallacious in nature and do not hold up to closer examination.
I did, however use appeal to ignorance earlier to counter an appeal to ignorance.

I apologise , I had you confused with cyberdad for some reason and I thought you posted the list of non facts.

I understand. You just made an honest mistake. No harm done.

That's what certain people want it to be viewed as, so they'll keep insisting that's what it is.

No, it's that our worst fears about MAGA being a racist dog whistle have been confirmed by the behavior of those who wear it.

That's Appeal to Ignorance, Appeal to Emotion, a Red Herring, circular logic, Bandwagon Fallacy and a Hasty Generalization. Man you really packed those fallacious argument tactics in that one.
Or to put it another way, PROVE IT, not by over-inflated media coverage, but by actual, peer-reviewed scientific studies from accredited institutions, that all people who support MAGA or wear MAGA are racist.

Ease up there, grasshopper. If you're going to challenge another person' opinion by citing Thompson's "Fallacies of Logic", then you had best actually know and understand how those fallacies apply.

Appeal to Ignorance: His statement assumes that all people who support MAGA are racist because they cannot be proven to not be racist. Conversely, neither can they all be proven to racist.
Appeal to Emotion: His statement uses the emotionally charged nature of racism(which is applied to MAGA by him in the statement) to incite anger against MAGA, because 'they are all racist'.
Red Herring: His statement distracts from the actual facts of the incident by bringing up a seemingly related, but overall unrelated topic(whether or not MAGA stands for racism).
Circular Logic: This one might have been a stretch. The explanation for this one would more accurately fit Bandwagon Fallacy.
Bandwagon Fallacy: His statement is based on the overt media coverage that has been directed at intentionally smearing MAGA supporters as all being of a particular belief(racist), rather than factual evidence to support the statement.
Hasty Generalization: His statement makes a generalization that MAGA supporters are all racist, but has not supported his statement with objective facts. Are some racist? Probably. So are some Democrats.
So, did this "grasshopper" explain my usage of these adequately, or do I need to continue?

Peer reviewed scientific studies from accredited institutions?
It would be nice if half of what comes out of Trump's fetid face flaps were held to the same standard.
It would also be nice if his brain damaged supporters would voluntarily walk themselves into a pit of lava.

It would be nice if trump's detractors didn't put out so much hyperbole and melodrama, it might make it easier to take them seriously.
