Mike Pence attacks black athletes (again)

Mike Pence demonstrated the petty nature of the current regime (oops government) in the US when he used his office to attack black athletes, in a move that echoes the Colin Kapaernick affair over BLM.

Praising the white general manager of NBA Daryl Morey for his attack on China's handling of Hong Kong, Pence went on to say;

“Some of the NBA’s biggest players (black basketballers) and owners, who routinely exercise their freedom to criticize this country (i.e. black lives matter), lose their voices when it comes to the freedom and rights of other peoples,” he said.
By “siding with the Chinese Communist Party and silencing free speech, the NBA is acting like a wholly owned subsidiary of the authoritarian regime,” Pence said.

The hypocrisy of the Trump regime is quite staggering given many of the GOP have trade/business with the communist Chinese government. Trump's reasons for attacking China are (as usual) self-serving

Attacking Nike and the sports starts they sponsor seems like a soft target (as if Nike or basketball players should be forced to throw away millions of dollars because Trump's personal agendas, invoking support for black lives mater seems incredibly petty.

America under Reagan of course had not problem doing business with Apartheid regime in South Africa so when it suites the right wing they have a history of being happy to turn a blind eye to human rights.

I don't believe any country in the free world should do business with Communist dictatorships. It sickens me.

Question: Should the NBA continue to make billions of dollars in China and continue to embrace China, the largest human rights abusing country on the planet earth?

What did Lebron James do? He disrespected the Natl. Anthem in the country that has made him a millionaire. Some would consider that speech that should be suppressed, kinda like you would like to quash Mike Pence. Kinda like AOC and Al Green want to bully Mark Zuckerberg into committing to quashing all speech that isn't Liberal approved. So, blacks/hispanics get to do what they want, whites not so much. Nope, not happenin'. EVERYBODY gets a say...

So what Pence said was by way of someone else's words inserted in parentheses. Apparently the way to fight racism is if someone doesn't say something racist, say something racist for them. And then make a major production out of it. To exploit racism to try scoring a political advantage.

How about Pence attacks Lebron because he just doesn't like him or what he did and leave the 'black' part off? You just can't do that can you? You are so desperate to make everything about race and you are only succeeding in accomplishing the exact opposite. People are sick of Liberals saying that if you are black and you do something that sticks in someone else's craw, they can't call you on it because you're black.

Do you have any evidence that it has to do with skin color? Or is it just being made into being about skin color?

You are ignoring the obvious...Le Bron spoke in support for black lives matter...Pence's attack was because he (Pence) earlier claimed sportsmen like Le Bron should stay out of politics...same with Kaerpenick...play ball...don't speak about BLM

So now....Pence turns around and says they should be saying something about communist China's treatment of Hong Kong...why should they? Didn't Pence say that sportsmen should get involved in politics??

Pence has made a fool of himself on two levels -
1. Pence contradicts himslelf (and Trump) about sports and politics
2., attacking basketball players for doing business with CHina when there's thousands of republicans doing business with China

basketball players are free agents...attacking NBA basketball players wanting to protect their salaries is unAmwerican isn't it....pathetic and distasteful of Pence

Because Pence/Trump know very well their attack on black sportsmen was an indirect attack on black lives matter....they singled out NBA basketballers in China who are almost all black....black is a skin colour

How do you know that Pence just doesn't hate athletes getting involved in politics? Is it strictly because the two who have gotten involved in politics are black? Because if that's what you're hanging your hat on I would refer you to the backlash that actors who are white have gotten from the public, for trying to use their celebrity to influence the minds of voters.

There is no evidence here that this is racially motivated, Mike Pence has not mentioned race or involvement with black lives matter. He claims that this is about their pandering to the Chinese Communist party.

The idea that this is not the real reason and it is actually about race and involvement with BLM is just pure conjecture with no meaningful evidence.
