if you believe whatever the government, mainstream media and bureaucrats say you will be believing in an false alternate reality.

It is the MAGAs who have a false alternate reality.

And they did arrest rioters during the BLM protests, just turns out a good amount of the arrests turned out being for non-violent offenses. I figure the ones deemed to have committed violent offenses did get sentenced.

Also, though it was not an organized attempt at insurrection of course more focus will be put on people who actually intended to harm our democracy with their little attempted coup.

How exactly was a bunch of unarmed people (mostly cosplayers) going to overthrow our country?
Who are these Antifa/BLMs that got arrested and prosecuted for non-violent burning down of a city?
Why do you believe the media and politicians who continually lie to you?

They were not all unarmed, and most cosplayers don't try to commit coups in their costumes.

Also people arrested for violent offenses during the protests probably were persecuted. And which city was burnt down exactly?

And I look at various news sources, mainstream and not...even foreign ones like Aljazeera. As for politicians I question them all there is not one I can say that I blindly follow the way the Trump followers believe every word he says even if its demonstrably false.

Last time I checked, 74 million (Trump actually said 75 million) republicans gullibly swallowed a lie about voter fraud.

A number of BLM protestors have been killed or injured by right wing militia or police since Charlottesville up to the storming of the capitol in January.

Vice have demonstrated members of the police and defence forces are aligned with QAnon and MAGA movements and during the Capitol terror attacks police actively collaborated and participated.

The US police have a long long history of fabricating reports against black people going back to the 1960s when they actively participated in lynchings.

BLM protesters have tried to lodge complaints of violence against their members and the police have not taken them seriously or have filed fake reports.

While the Antifa/BLM demonstrations certainly at times got out of hand, at least they were protesting something legitimate - police brutality. What were the MAGA's doing? The Russian collusion allegation was based on plausible intelligence which bought into question the integrity and security risk posed by the president himself. It had nothing to do the with the election result.

Nastiness begats more nastiness. I'm not saying it's right, but it was very predictable. This has been building up for a long time.

This is like being at school when the quiet kid suddenly has enough of the bully. A situation I suspect a lot of AS people can sympathise with. Yes, things can get out of hand. The root cause is still the bullying, though.
