Sympathy for Maxwell?  Not from me.  I believe she deserves her current sentences for the crimes she committed, AND that she is also being made the scapegoat for Epstein's crimes; but, so what?

One less "chomo" off the streets is always a good thing.  Lock her in a cell and let her rot.

Andrew is untouchable… unless the peasants revolt in the UK. We tried that one hundreds of years ago… it didn’t work. I take some comfort from the fact that he has been relieved of royal duties, so he can’t strut around in his military uniforms any more. He will also spend the rest of his days dodging around the rooms of the royal palaces, trying to avoid the writ-wielding lawyers.

I don’t suppose the victims will feel any better for that…

I hope someone turns a ferret loose in his trousers.

I have a sinking feeling that the investigation ends with her. It feels like nailing the getaway driver.

Believe me, the world's sexual predators among millionaires and billionaires are well protected. Their identities will sadly never be revealed.

anything possibly associated with her or her people she engaged with should be open to public scrutiny . Regarding such a crime especially if she was found guilty . How can there be such a thing as " needless name dropping" regarding a little black book in and around thiis woman and the stuff she was involved in. am suspicious that someone is still being protected in this situation.

No one deserves to be sexually assaulted, not even her.

On the other hand I hope this gets them closer to nailing Andrew Windsor, Alan Dershowitz, Trump, Clinton, Conrad Black, etc.

I didn’t say anything about assault, you assumed that.Bertha only wants to do her hair.Chomos don’t fare well in prison regardless. She may have been high society once, now she will be at the bottom of the pecking order.Where she belongs.
Anyway, three stabbings this week in my relatives unit.

I dunno, I don't see failures of the state to ensure the safety of people in it's custody as something to be celebrated no matter how horrible the person they've failed is.

I agree vengefulness is not the right response, but it's this compassion that people like her count on.

I don't believe compassion is what high society criminals rely on, they appear to rely much more on the belief that they can't be touched because of who their friends are and what they know.

i believe this to be entirely true .And these are facts that "we the people" are unfortunately forced into situations , where we must just deal with it . Regardless of how serious thier crimes are.

I have a feeling she might mysteriously "kill herself" before that happens... ¬_¬

I have feeling that Big Bertha and her cohorts might do the honours whilst the guards turn a blind eye.

The reality, if we can imagine it, is far, far worse. The four women who were minors when they were sexually abused should be considered icons of truth and justice. Everyone should understand that these four are only a tiny speck of the totality of the criminal behavior of Ghislaine and her boss. There are 50 times - 100 times? - more victims who are remaining silent and out of the spotlight. Some of them may have thought of speaking with the authorities but finally understood that the spotlight would turn upside-down their lives, family and relationships. The vast majority of those sexually abused just live from day to day with their secrets, having learned that the pain is just a part of their life. And the vast majority of those who abuse believe that all of this will remain secret. Even parents sometimes turn their heads! Many parents knew the rumors that James Levine, music director of the Metropolitan Opera, had a history of sexual abuse of minors - the students he would mentor - and decided to ignore it for the prestige and the spotlight their kids would achieve. Far worse, administrators and many of the board of directors had heard the stories and did nothing. Jimmy was famous and cherished around the world and decades passed with no public scandal. There is absolutely no justification of these assaults on children - or anyone in a position of power demanding sexual favors from anyone who works with them.

No doubt a lot of powerful people are being protected in this situation, but lets not forget that under the law they are innocent until proven guilty, and it would be near impossible to prove that they had any idea girls they had contact with were underage. Given those two factors, as well as the level of volatility any exposure in the social media age creates, I can see where the judge's thoughts were going.

Let me be clear that I am not excusing anything, or in any way "happy" about the reality of the situation. Just, I can see how little to nothing can be gained while a lot of additional harm could be caused.

They are truly heroes who have, no doubt, saved other girls from a lot of pain. We owe them a lot of gratitude. It cannot have been easy for them.

I have no other words for it.

As a survivor of both childhood and adult sexual assault, having testified against the psychos in court, and having a daughter, it's too overwhelming.

Peace be with them.

Thanks Jakki.

Unfortunately I'm not the only one, and unfortunately there's no other side.

It's something I still struggle with every day of my life despite years of trauma therapy.
