Israel's formation displaced a huge number of people. Israel was attacked by nations who were facing a refugee crisis as a result of Israel's ethnic cleansing campaign (the Nakba). You're flat-out lying to insist that the Arab league's actions were unprovoked.

I acknowledge the role Britain and the International Zionist movement played in the formation of the state of Israel. I also acknowledge the displacement of Palestinians (or Arabic people who called themselves Palestinians who happened to be living in Palestine).

But let's be realistic. The vast majority of Israeli settlers were either war refugees or descendants of war refugees. They had just undergone trauma much worse than those currently experienced by Palestinians in 2023, These people entered israel because it was one of the few safe zones left in the world free of anti-semitism. Did they know they were displacing other people to have free land? I don't know. This was the 1940s a different era (called post-colonial) and people's mindsets were different. if you want to judge the state of Israel on views from the time then how different is it to judging the US in 2023 based on the 1940s?

They had been through some tough s**t, so aren't they entitled to do a little ethnic cleansing? It was a different time when colonial ventures were totally cool and not deserving of condemnation. Why are you acting like the Palestinians had more right to the land they were already living on than a bunch of migrants who really wanted it?

Mhmm.

Not entirely true, although there were some Palestinian refugees as a result of the ongoing civil war before, the largest mass displacement happened after Israel tried to defend itself. The surrounding Arab nations, under agreement of the Arab League happened one day after Israel announced it's independence after the UN ratified the partition plan and before there was any large mass displacement of people because they never agreed to the partition plan. The Nakba happened during the war:

If the displacements happened after, why do they start as early as '47? Meanwhile the Arab states waited another 6 months before intervening.

As I said, there was a whole civil war happening before that, with pogroms and counter-pogroms (against both Arab and Jewish communities).

The first spark of the Arab-Jewish civil war was the Shubaki family assassination, carried on by the Zionist terrorist group Lehi.

Before the civil war, Lehi and other groups did operations against the Brits

That would be "Scottish mist".

"Scotch" is only used for export products. According to one Scottish person I saw on TV "anything from Scotland that can be bought or sold: our wool, our whiskey, our members of Parliament".

The people who are innocent.

Example: Babies in utero, newborns, babies, toddlers, children, adolescents, teens and adults who don't support terrorism, parents who lose children, grandparents, seniors, invalids, those in hospitals or schools or mosques and synagogues, groups of people at music festivals, people who are asleep, pacifists, medics and doctors, emergency personnel, or people who are minding their own business and don't deserve to have their brains blown out or their homes destroyed, regardless of where the heck they're from.

The issue of land ownership pre-1948 in Palestine is contentious. Remember the area had been ruled by various empires over many centuries. So ethnic cleansing was an event that the people of the area has seen regularly (on a historic basis).

In the post colonial era the Palestinians were the latest group to be displaced. What Palestinians want is a return to the pre-1948 borders for Palestine which of course means there is no place anymore for Jews. They have had ample opportunity as a community to reconcile with the Jewish majority and work toward a sustainable future in both their interests.

Instead they have been suckered into pan-Arab ethnonationalism, pan-islamic movements and militaristic solutions. How has that worked for them? pretty awfully. A series of bad decisions from the time they threw their lot with authoritarian Arab regimes.

I'm pretty sure if I send my hot stone massage therapist over there to massage everyone, the war would end.

*I'm not making light of it, but damn there has to be a solution for peace.

Rent free in your head.

Cheap entertainment.

Although, this series is dragging on far too long and I'm ready for the writers to just send him to prison for his crimes already.
