That's not what you said earlier

The Alabama state government, and the governments of the other states that signed these types of legislation, need to be overthrown, not just voted out.

https://www.khou.com/amp/article/news/local/texas/bill-that-would-criminalize-sending-unsolicited-lewd-photos-headed-to-governors-desk/287-0b41aad4-5dca-4e37-8a4e-a76c2ec5aed8

^^ Then Texas passes this bill. This isn’t about “combating digital sexual harassment”, it’s about outlawing anything that could be considered “un-Christian”

The point is that the southern states want theocracy. A Republican governor could easily survive a recall election, because states like Mississippi and Alabama are so deep red that they're unflippable. Texas and Florida at least have a slight possibility of being flipped because of their large Hispanic populations.

And do not even get me started on Oklahoma. Anti-vax governor + the Godfather of climate change denial = big flaming pile of sh*t.

So you assume that everybody in the south wants a "theocracy" and should be overthrown with violence because of that?

What other alternatives are there?

Anybody who wants to live under a theocracy should first determine whose theocracy they want to live under. Then they should read up on the Spanish Inquisition, the Conquistadors, the Puritans, and the Jehovah's Witness and Watchtower Society.

In a theocracy, you are either right or you are wrong. Wrongness is punished, not corrected. Rightness is restricted by written and unwritten rules, some of which are made up on the spot to justify any punishment enacted against anyone who displays 'demonic' influence ... like rocking ... stimming ... lack of eye contact ... obsession with a singular topic ... or thinking for oneself and speaking out against oppression.

All I'm trying to say is I REALLY don't want to see violence over this. I'm pro-choice but I live in one of the states passing these stupid new abortion laws. Is it fair for people like me to end up victims of violence just because we happen to live in a state doing something that you're against?

My hope is that these things can be resolved without the need for revolution or violence. How do we resolve the abortion issue peacefully?

Maybe we should encourage more millennials to vote AGAINST these laws for one thing? I think one of the problems with our country is how the younger generation of Americans tend to not bother voting.

A special election, wherein only women are allowed to vote (because men don't need to have have abortions), and no man is allowed within 100 meters of a polling place.

The ballot would list numbers from 0 to 36. Each number indicates a "cutoff week" after which no abortion could be performed unless the mother's own life was at stake. Only one number can be selected. Multiple selections or no selection will void the entire ballot. The number getting the most votes "wins" the election, and becomes law one year later.

it is possible for an idea to make too much sense for amuuuricans to ever support it, much less understand it.
