No. The wearing of a face mask is the least of my worries. I just wear my face mask and get on with it.

What I'm sick and tired of is not being allowed to see my family, especially over the Christmas period, towns going into lockdown overnight, idiots that don't listen to the rules, conspiracy theories everywhere, and being frightened of catching COVID.
Welcome to the New World order.

Yeah, and the Freemasons created the virus with the help of little green men from Mars.

Antifa did it

And neither are you. Most likely you're not a qualified expert on most of the subjects that are discussed here. Along with most everyone else.

To the topic. I'm not bothered by it much. For me the hastle was more about remembering to have a mask with me and remembering to put one on, but I think the habit has settled in. But then again I don't have to wear one all day at work etc.

In my opinion (no evidence required) anything less than a P95 probably doesn't do much to prevent inhaling an airborne microscopic virus.

However it is sufficient for containing expelled vapor. When I had a respiratory issue a couple of years ago the clinic made me wear a mask so that I wouldn't pass on anything contagious. Since many carriers of covid are asymptomatic, people should be wearing masks for that reason.

I think some of the "conspiracy theories" regarding covid might be possible. It's something to at least take into consideration imo. The government and big pharma aren't exactly paragons of virtue. I wouldn't put past either to at least exploit the situation.

My masks come with N95 inserts, of which I have a substantial supply.

Every night, I hand-wash the mask I wore that day, wring it out, spray it with Everclear, and hang it up to dry.  The next day, I use one of the other masks, cycling through the collection weekly.

This is practically no inconvenience at all when compared to the real deprivations I endured in the military.

People should swallow their pride, can the snark, and just wear the effing masks already!

At least I cite and rely on the words of qualified experts, and not the blatherings of some fake-tanned blowhard who is more concerned with being a loser than with the number of actual coronavirus deaths under his administration.

Why use everclear when isopropyl is cheaper and does the same thing? In my area, everclear is about twenty dollars for a 750 ml bottle while isopropyl is about two dollars for a liter.

Because the local preppers have snatched up all the isopropanol and are hoarding it like diamonds.  Besides, I can cut ethanol with bottled water to 140 proof (same as isopropanol), I can cut it to 90 proof (same as vodka) and use it in mixed drinks, or I can cut it even further to make spice infusions -- it's a multi-purpose resource!

Well isopropyl is hard to come by these days. That's the one thing I stockpiled on some that really ended up needing it.

I am surprised that you can't find isopropyl now, last time I was at the grocery store they had quite a bit, more than I could carry home while walking if I would have even tried to wipe them out.

I am too because there's tons of hand sanitizer and masks etc available at the store I go to. Maybe I'll shop around, although I probably already have enough.

Even sanitizer would be a cheaper alternative to everclear. Some sanitizer brands I have seen were just isopropyl in a spray bottle instead of gels. I guess you can find isopropyl it you roam around the store long enough. I have seen some sanitizer or alcohol outside the first aid aisle.

Edit: one idea for outside the first aid aisle is looking for a type of cooking fuel called denatured alcohol.

I bought some bottles of spray sanitizer as a backup. So far those are still available. Although they're ethyl instead of isopropyl alcohol.

Any type of alcohol will work as a sanitizer, you only have to be picky when you are drinking it. Is why I made the edit to even consider the option to look for the denatured alcohol in the camping area sold as a cooking fuel. Everclear is your only option for something safe to drink, but all alcohols work for applying externally.

I have what looks like a mini bottle of liquor, but its hand sanitizer from Levecke wine, beer & spirits....lol. But I did hear various distilleries and such were making hand sanitizer now since they have the facilities to make alcohol so it makes sense.
