Uh I've looked at his research, and it actually backs up what he says. So people that listen to him aren't nuts.

I beg to differ how everything he says can be backed up. And I still say many of his fans are out of their minds.

Have you even bothered to look at his research or you just dismiss him cause his name is Glenn Beck. Quite frankly I'm guessing the latter.

His name could be Armin Kasparian (the man who has been living as Principle Seymore Skinner for years now, after Vietnam), and I would still judge him to be nuts.
And no I don't research everything he says, because common sense, and common knowledge tells me what he says is insane.
He has said that American unions, communists and Islamic radicals are all in cahoots together - anyone who knows the history of these divergent groups realizes this alliance is an impossibility.
Even after Beck had retracted his charge that Obama is a racist, he claimed he really meant that Obama's supposed black liberation theology is so outlandish that most Americans wouldn't recognize it a Christian - a funny thing for a Mormon like Beck to say.
While talking about religion (during which time he generalized how most American Christians believe in the Millennial reign of Christ - most in fact do not), he talked about the Antichrist as if he were something real. And no, I don't care how many Evangelicals and Mormons believe that to be true.
I could go on - but I really don't want to.

Ever heard of the phrase:
"Truth is stranger than fiction."

Just because something sounds crazy, doesn't mean it is not the truth. By dismissing his statements out of hand when he compiled information that supports what he said, you can't just simply claim he's crazy just cause what he says seems crazy.

People once thought the world was flat, and thought anyone that said it was round was insane.

Should I start calling you a flat earther?

I can't stop you from calling me a flat earther, or anything else. And I still don't believe that he's compiled information that supports his lunacy.

Well considering I provided a link to some of it, looks like your beliefs are not based on facts.

"Facts" can be slanted to support anything, in which case it doesn't mean that they're true.
I'm sure flat earthers have assembled a vast array of facts.

Uh that's why Glenn Beck actually posted up his research so that people can look through it on their own. However, you have simply made a snap judgement without even looking at how he reached the conclusion he reached with absolutely no evidence to back up what you are saying except for comments from individuals that have a grudge against Beck.

I wouldn't have a grudge against him if he didn't sell his political agenda through his alleged facts.

Well, looks like based on the research that the so called "alleged facts" as you call them are actually true. So if his politicial agenda is from a conclusion based on real facts and not stuff made up out of the blue, then you are the one that is being irrational not him.

Call me irrational all you like, but what I know is true clashes with what Beck says. The ruins of Babylon are not going to be the headquarters of a worldwide Muslim Caliphate. Young people are not being manipulated by the unions and Red China in cahoots with radical Islam in order to destroy Israel (in that I don't see American labor and Chinese communists as Antisemitic). There's a little thing called reality that just keeps getting in the way of Beck's rantings.

It is a pretty big read, so those with no attention span probably will have problems.

Back to topic, it looks like Beck actually has research to back up what he is saying.

I'm sure he does. But he's also a master performer. The guy has a knack of taking actual facts and combining them into something that seems correct, but when you look at it closer, he's skipping important details. In short, he's a master of making 2+2 look like 5.

I think humor is actually his way of coping with things. Again ducky, you are making the same mistake that I pointed out someone else was making earlier, they were immediately dismissing what Glenn Beck said, just because his name is Glenn Beck.

Sooo what you're saying is I'm making the mistake of disagreeing with him? I don't care what his name is honestly. His logical leaps just don't make sense. He'll make 4 points about a subject that frame the argument in his favor, but will skim over obvious points that contradict him. His facts are almost always right, but he forgets to mention important details, and his inferences from those facts don't always add up correctly.

What happens in the world often doesn't make sense, people can be extremely illogical especially neurotypicals. A lot of what Beck has been saying seemed to not make sense and then ends up actually happening. I don't take what he says to be gospel, but it is a mistake to simply dismiss what he says as crazy talk, it could be he is just viewing the facts from a different angle.

Me too. It is typical to have a discussion that quickly gets side tracked by unrelated news stories to prove one's point.

The tactic that I do not like is the attempt to marginalize the messenger so that his message is not believable. The Fool is a special actor in Shakespeare's plays for a reason! Why waste time on a fool then?
