You never know. Apparently one GOP donor has had enough:

unfortunately it will take far more than that to penetrate their echo chamber.

Thank God she's not in the Bible Belt. (And we need to get you out of there, Marknis, or at least figure out how to get you to Austin.)

Her father's pride in her - and gratitude for her survival and her fierce intelligence - made me cry as much as her own courage did.

Either option is preferable but I'd honestly prefer the latter because my nicer cousins live close to Austin.

I wasn't bashing her at all. I just know rednecks judge people on appearances and it's sickening that they do so.

@Kiprobalhato: I guess he's going after them in the only place they have any feelings - their wallets. You're right, though.

@goldfish: yes it is. I hope they can and will. The wind finally seems to be shifting now; the old standby "this isn't the time" is being rejected as the brushoff that it is. Also, I think I stepped on your link when I posted that incredible editorial cartoon - sorry.

@Marknis: no worries. I didn't think you were bashing her - I thought you were pointing out that some others would. You're right, they would. We can't let the fact that others might disparage her block us from supporting her. And her classmates. And parents. And teachers...

And I'm going to turn in, yikes, it's 3 AM.

Latest - Trump blames FBI for looking into the Russian link to his election victory and not stopping the shooting in Florida

What an absolutely self-centered prick...no wonder the kids in that school protested against him

No worries. :) I'd have posted the image as well, but it was awkward to do from my phone at the beach. Plus I think the short article about the editorial comic was worth a read, too. But even people just seeing the cartoon itself is good - after all, it's what's going viral, not the story about it. A little hometown pride on that one, too, as the artist is a woman from Vancouver.

I place 100% of the blame on his backers. blaming The Dotard is like blaming a hemorrhoid for poor hygiene.
