European law to ban the sale of all herbal medicines in 2011

I don't know about in the UK, but in the US herbal medicines really aren't controlled at all. Realistically, you could put out a package claiming there's a herbal supplement in every pill, but there might not be at all. No one checks, because it isn't regulated. So while an out and out ban would be bad, increasing licensing requirements would be a good thing, assuming the lack of regulation is standard there too.

Yay no more herbal medicines for my visceral problems. Oo. Now next time I'm sick I'll get to take pharmaceutical poisons with 1, 000,000,000 side effects.
