How much longer will this go on? Once the airlines start loosing more business from discouraged travelers, I'm sure something will start to change. Money talks.

Some airports are kicking the TSA out and going completely private.

So is it better if it's private?
I agree bring bomb sniffing dogs.

If it is private they still have to comply with guidelines set down by the TSA but they will probably be more professional about the situation.

Wow, It the TSA is nothing but a bunch of sick predators. So it's okay for a tsa freak to molest your child, but any other adult that would do this, would be arrested and branded a sex offender for life. One thing for sure Obama and the rest of congress would never allow this to happen to their own children and spouses.

I'm all for the Israeli style profiling, in addition to dogs trained to detect bombs. And they need to get rid of most of the TSA employees and replace them for Air Marshals.

Let's see, there is the stuff that works and is non-invasive (dogs, wands, traditional detectors), and the stuff that works and is extremely invasive to the point of absolute perversion (body scanners, groping). Which is cheaper? Believe it or not, the non-invasive stuff is cheaper. 1 body scanner could be sold at market value ($10,000+) and get more than enough dogs required to do the job. Heck, they could even use some of that money to do some minor fixes to their lobbies. I have to fly for my mission trip in the spring, and this crap is making me not really look forward to it. At least my airport doesn't have body scanners yet, and no body scanners means no groping allowed.

I hate the world. When will it end? Where is that asteroid or black hole that I foolishly hope for, when I have no hope, otherwise, anymore? Humanity is too flawed to keep existing. It has to be wiped out... end the pain... end the lies.

I'm hoping that all this antiterrorism hype will have died down in the next 15 years or so when I actually have a child of my own. But it doesn't matter if they're a TSA agent, a Catholic priest, or anyone else, if someone's going to try and molest my child they are going to get force palmed in the nose. HARD.

And just for those of you who aren't aware, hitting someone straight on the nose can be quite dehabilitating, as it sends shock waves all throughout the skull. My theatre professor told the class from his experience being in several barfights that it can knock a person down for a good 15 seconds. I prefer an open palm, however, it can be just as devastating as a fist when attacking the right spot.

there are other debilitating spots as well, such as palm thrust to sternum.

Or a swift kick to the groin, regardless of their gender.

indeed. It is always best to follow through on your punches and kicks. it makes them Super-Effective! XD

yet punching someone and following through increases the damage to your own hand as well.

The dogs is a great idea...someone alsp mentioned in the opinion news about a devise used in other countries that people walk into and it is a blast proof container that will also cause any bomb to go off inside. This way if a person has a bomb on them, then it will blow up only the person wearing it and no one else...so much for 78 virgins.

But with this TSA Bs, is just security theatre which has nothing to do with actual security, but pissing off americans.

I'm gonna call up my cousin from Boulder and her karate sensei, we're going to start a self-defense class so that these kids know how to deal with these child molesters... er, security officers.

PS: Would it kill Alex to include the strike-through BBcode tag on the forums?

Don't get yourself thrown into prison.

Quite frankly, the TSA is going to be in hot water if not now as soon as the new Congress comes in.

At the rate they are going they are likely to throw the kid down on the ground and take em to jail for self defense. I dont think this situation is going to continue for long because the ACLU has noted that they received 900 reports abuse and injustice by the TSA in one month.
This is excellerating fast and as one person said here we are quickly reaching a flash point, but question is...what happens after destabilzation?

Maybe the ACLU and Glenn Beck should get together instead of fighting with each other and jointly go after the TSA which would scare the heck out of Obama White House.

If somebody doesn't do something soon, I'm wondering if the situation will get much worse.

So I am guessing this is why my older friend told me I was a prime target for "chester the molester" when we went to the airport that one day. (I look young for my age)

It seems like everyday we are losing more and more of our freedoms. They say that our safety is at risk if we do not submit to these searches or having ourselves monitored. But Stalin said the same thing to the Russian people.

In a way, it seems like these terrorists have indeed won. They know how safety can compromise freedom and vice versa. And so they make us unsafe to take away our freedoms.

I honestly think this is more of political correctness run amok than actually trying to keep people safe.

I also am wondering if the high ups in TSA are pedophiles.

I'm wondering what next, children not being allowed to wear clothing in the airports because they might have a bomb strapped to them, one that might not be readily felt. Oh but they might have a bomb inside them so they get taken off somewhere to be "more thoroughly searched."

Some of the TSA agents I've heard via the media have been complaining about all of this too, but this looks like the high up have another motive to this.

I'm being perfectly frank on this, Israel called our security model stupid, I'm quite frankly going to agree with them.
