My mother said something similar after my daughter was born. Heh heh heh. Grandkids are apparently where it is at. I completely understand the beauty of all of the fun minus all of the hard work. A beautiful concept, methinks.
I became pregnant for the first time when I was sixteen... If any of my children follow suit I could be one of those younger grandmothers. Clearly others have me beaten, but still, I think it will be nice to not be too old when grandchildren come around so I might have more energy to do things with them. Even if they wait until they are forty to have kids, I will still be young.
