Even then, and even if she later changes her legal name, I doubt anyone would want to participate in BDSM with her or fall asleep in the same house/apartment as her. Not because of the murder, but she is just way too psycho to take a chance with.

If she really did beat the rap, chances are there will be a string of bodies that turn up someday.

You never know. The woman is already famous whether she wants that fame or not. And she does have a huge amount of supporters as well as haters. Now Casey Anthony on the other hand...

People do weird things when they are really stressed out. The DNA evidence was thrown out, I think the supposed murder weapon also wasn't the murder weapon. I mean what is wrong with the Italian Law Enforcement.

It sounds like the DNA evidence fizzled out, supposedly as well they were trying to question her in Italian without a lawyer present and she was still only semi-lingual in it. No idea what really happened though, if their alibi is correct then great, if not - it goes as a grim reminder to police and homicide detectives that this is what happens you you clusterbomb the collection of evidence; ie. people get away with murder.

I don't know the case well enough, didn't get enough of a watch of her or Sollecito to reckon if they were sociopaths but, at this point it is what it is. We'll likely be seeing enough press coverage, analysis, and interviews in the next 24 hours to make our own opinions.
The fact the DNA evidence testing the first go round was incredibly sloppy and it seemed like the Prosecution was more interested in convicting an American than finding the culprit of the crime.

Oh no you are wrong... US is very popular in Italy. We have a sort of reverential awe for USA. There are three grades of judice and it was the second. Our justice safeguards accused's civil rights, even if it's very slow. In fact, it took years to have a sentence and that's not yet the final sentence. We have to wait for the Supreme Court (Cassazione) sentence.

So you're telling me they might reconvict her, when it has been shown the Police mishandled evidence and the Prosecutor was just looking to convict an American rather than find out who the killer was.

Cassazione sentence can get the process started again from first grade if they found seriuos irregularities in what Police did, for example ignoring evidences. According to things I read on newspapers, Police believed that Amanda's knife was the murder weapon, but they were proved wrong by DNA test.

Fortunately, Berlusconi doesn't run Law Enforcement. If he did, we had a dictatorship. Law Enforcement is completely independent from Government and investigations are directed by judges, I mean that judges decide the content of investigations and can begin an investigation independently.
Judges are hired trough a public competition and thay are independant. If they tell their politic orientation, as I'm doing, they should resign.
That's the thing that worries him. Italy has such rules because we had a dictatorship in the past and the majority of us doesn't want a new one.

I am not saying Berlusconi, I am saying the Italian Government. Also I am not implying Dictatorship. I am implying poor oversight and bad management overall. And corruption.

You're right. Also, some of us fear an authoritarian adrift. Free press is really challenged here.

Don't worry. I know that tensions run high here, so I tend to restate what I mean just to clear up anything. Don't worry, the west is having some authoritarian issues everywhere.

It's the first time I speak about politics... I care a lot to say that Italians are not like him. If you see your country declining you have some anger. I'm not speaking only about economy, but mind impoverishment that we have after 20 years watching his televisions. TV shows are the soft versions of bunga bunga parties... sadder than the harder and original ones.

What I don't understand about this case is the lack of DNA evidence. Amanda Knox lived with Meredith Ketcher. Where was the DNA????. It makes no sense. It should be there somewhere.

The Italian police screwed up the available DNA evidence even worse than the Los Angeles police did with the DNA evidence for the Simpson trial, in which Simpson was acquitted of the murders of Nicole Brown and Ronald Goldman.

Evidence is useless if mishandled by a clueless mob of neanderthal Keystone Cops.

Dear ooanaoO, The DNA evidence that was apparently mis-handled was from Meredith's room and the bathroom. That is where Rudy Guede's DNA and Meredith's blood were found. Swabbing for DNA throughout the rest of the house (whether they did that or not) would be pointless, since they both lived there and there's no way to tell the age (hours, days, weeks) of the specimens. R.I.P., Meredith.....Sylkat :(

Amanda Knox's Italian lawyer got it right when he said that nobody is really the winner in this case. Two innocent people (let's not forget
her Italian boyfriend) have spent 4 years in jail while Meredith's family are still left not knowing the truth.
Amanda may have acted strangely or inappropriately at times but that's not a crime and being accused of murder without any clear evidence must be a nightmare.I'd like to think that if Amanda is going to make money now that she would consider donating some to
charity as a tribute to Meredith.

I agree wholeheartedly with this comment. Some times people must accept that when no one wins, no one wins.

Very true and being on the spectrum myself when I read that Amanda Knox might be on the spectrum I was like whoa, I told my Dad about this and he commented on the unfortunate fact that some autistic people are wrongfully put in Jail and I was like yeah no kidding.

I never been there myselve but I did get hassled by Mall Security in 2001 when I did no wrong to begin with, twice in a row, both times it was cause some girls claimed I made them nervous, 2nd time around security guard told me I know im not suppose to be here, which no one told me that and he has no authority to ban me to begin with.

Not to mention I happened to work in one of the stores in that mall at the time, I told him I am Autistic and I also told him if he didn't stop harassing me, I was getting myself a Lawyer, I took off running, he followed me, he radioed a Cop, I guess he figured I would not run from the real Police, so when Cop asked me to stop I complied, me and Cop went into where I worked and it was confirmed I work there.

Cop radioed back and said it was confirmed, I went back home, my mom was visiting, I told her what happened, we went back up to the mall with intent to file a complaint and we found security guard, who remembered my mom from when she worked at a store up there.

My mom spoke of the fact I am Autistic and the security guard said the only reason the girls said I made them nervous was because I allegedly waved, I have no idea where I waved at, and last time I checked, it is not a crime to wave, I bet those girls knew that calling real Police over this would be considered a waste of Police time.

I mean I am glad it got resolved but I can imagine how hard it was for Amanda to be locked up knowing she was innocent of charges, and if she really is on the spectrum, it is really gonna take a long time for her to recover.

After that 2nd and last incident with mall security, I refused to go to that very mall for 2 weeks other than going to where I worked (work was only place I went to in that mall for 2 weeks, anywhere else I avoided for 2 weeks).

When I finally did go I bought a small tape recorder and for a time carried it with me so I could have documentation I was doing nothing wrong, and for a time the sight of security scared the hell out of me, with the exception of when security at Ozzfest 2001 giggled at seeing a guy pay to get tortured by 2 women (I also giggled about that one too).

If Amanda Knox really is autistic, it is possible she could still act upon certain prison rituals for awhile, for instance I would not be surprised if she is cleaning in the houses of her Dad and Step-Mom and Mom and Step-Dad already, even if they all tell her to relax and take a breather.

I'm not saying she is necessarily doing that cause maybe she really is taking a breather but still if someone who is innocent of charges decides to clean in the house after getting released, can you blame them? I sure can't, it's perfectly healthy to do so actually.

Do I think Amanda should do any cleaning? well I think that's up to Amanda really, I mean on one hand I would like her to be able to totally relax but at the same time if she wants to do that I say let her, she needs to keep herself healthy somehow.

I do hope and pray for her to recover.

God be with Amanda and her family, God also be with Merideth and her family too, I feel Amanda was never even given a chance to grieve for Merideth and I know it was hard to do so in prison but now she will get a chance to grieve for Merideth in freedom.

Wake up people.

She and her boyfriend were fellow sociopaths.

When people come across as overly friendly and caring, they are usually sociopaths.

She more than likely had something to do with the murder.

The only question I have is, why wouldn't Rudy Guede implicate her if she took part?

Take a look at the Seal Beach murdered. His neighbor thought he was a nice guy.
