You don't think there is anything ridiculous about the claim they're making that a 19 year old girl sleeping with a 16 year old male makes her a sexual predator? Okay. The only thing this argument proves is that the age of consent in that district is stupid (18?) You can be a soldier at 17 with your folk's permission but you can't have some consensual fun? Older women going for younger guys is not as common as the other way around but I have seen it happen. In fact the best relationships I have had were with women older than me. It isn't. He's making an actual point. What you are doing is laughing at an important truth that Inuyasha pointed out. Whether you think it is a generalization Inuyasha didn't even consider. Sounds like you're making humour with no basis there. What Inuyasha sai is true. Being a woman who is 19 and having sex with a boy who is 16 is statutory rape. Did he say it was right? No.
So don't make the generalization.

No, he isn't, and yes, it is hilarious. Lonermutant made the point, actually, and his point (as he repeated above) is that the girl is a sexual predator. Perhaps he means that facetiously in humor. So please tell me, is a 19 year old who has sex with a 16 year old, consensually, a sexual predator? If you say no, then I have no idea why you are wasting time arguing on their behalf. In any case this sort of statutory rape law is plain silly, and might actually result in the guy getting away without having to pay child support!!

No I wouldn't, actually, as I have stated many times, I think that 18 is a stupid age of consent for sex. The fact that you're crying rape is absolutely ridiculous, the real issue is whether Bieber can get away with not paying child support (assuming this story isn't BS) due to this technicality. Women do rape men, but rape is not consensual, statutory rape is a slippery issue when it comes to these age brackets (16-20). A lot of men probably don't say anything, but the same can be said about female victims. In any case the amount of men raped by women vs men raped by men or women raped by men is significantly less than the latter two. I have seen enough 16 year old girls pursue older guys (a fair proportion actually) to understand that 16 year olds do actually go for guys in that age group. I can also think of one guy I went to school with, who was quite a ladies man, who started going out with a girl several grades ahead of us, having at least 2 1/2-3 years on him. He is actually still with her, many, many years later!

seriously… you would obvious die instantaneous if you lived in a healthy and informed country where a 15 yo can freely choose to have sex with whomever she or he likes… because it is perfectly normal to have that desire.
