First Akin, now this jackass. You'd think Republican politicians would have more sense in revealing their lack of sanity so close to a presidential election.

Let me guess, you live in Dallas.

If Texas ever secedes, I hope we leave the Dallas/Ft. Worth area behind.

Look at it like this: if Texas secedes, it will be free to pass a law to put a west bank style wall around it and the Mexico border. Regularly airdrop ammo, cigarettes, liquor and raw materials for meth and call it urban redevelopment!

All kidding aside, that would be horrible. San Antonio would lie in a buffer zone. We would need to annex at least 100 miles of northern Mexico, with the last 1 1/2 mile set up like the Korean DMZ.

I don't know if it's just me, but it seems as if the crazies are running rampant this election. Unfortunately, it looks like Idiocracy is becoming reality, as the crazies are breeding.

How much of this, I wonder, is a result of the establishment in the GOP giving the Tea Partiers enough rope with which to hang themselves.

If you are going to lose an election, it's best to make sure that you can blame that loss upon the people who oppose you within your party--all the better to sideline them into irrelevancy the next time around. So why these sorts of people are bringing the Republican brand into disrepute, I see an opportunity for the old-style Republicans to make sure that the Tea Party label sticks to them. If the Tea Party can be painted as unelectable in anything larger than a district, that may enable the establishment to reassert control over the Republican Party.

The problem is the republican 'establishment' has drifted away from it's core support base. Neocons are going out of vogue in favor of a much more originalist view of the constitution and how government is supposed to work.

Nope. I've lived all over Texas and I have lived in Dallas, but probably less than four years of my life. I live in the Lake Texoma area now.

What made you guess Dallas? Also, why do so many Texans hate Dallas!?

It does make me cringe, however.

Technically it isn't misusing God's actual name. But it IS a curse, and cursing anyone or anything shouldn't be something we can be so flippant about.

Personally I lean towards euphemisms and even anagrams--"dadgommit" is my personal favorite.

They need to burn those who wield curses at the stake like the good ol days
