Okay even if the LAPD are guilty of what Dorner accused it of, does that justify murdering four innocent people?

No. Dorner was a loose canon clearly not fit to live in civilized society.

I'd be more worried about the police at this stage... I wonder if this behaviour was deliberate terrorism.

Does anyone know if Dorner was killed by the police, or if he (perhaps wounded) shot himself?

With the LAPD corrupt and bias as they are right now, we might not ever know for sure if he was killed by the LAPD or if he committed suicide. They turned away news organizations from the area, so we have no one to back up any claims.

I've actually read the manifesto myself, and let me tell you, I don't believe he's a madman at all. Insanity only started developing as he worked with the Los Angeles Police Department. Have you actually read it? He describes police officers singing Nazi youth Hitler songs, unnecessary force, how he was perceived him being a black police officer, officers not even caring for murder victims and even playing games of "who has the most graphic picture?" and all the other issues going on in the LAPD. There is no way, in my mind, that he was insane. All those things that made his way in his brain made him do this. He's not a madman, he's not evil, he was an honest police officer who was disgusted by what goes on in the LAPD. Although I do not think that him going around killing innocent people was right, I will be honest, I am somewhat sympathetic with him because I've faced similar challenges to him (not that I'm supportive of his actions of killing innocent people, nor will I celebrate him as a hero). He was normal like everyone else. He loved TV shows, sports, he followed politics. He expressed his honest opinions. That said, i don't think he's a madman at all. Just a man driven to insanity because of the evilness of others.

I like the sense of humour. Though the effect is like the cops are a bunch of frightened rabbits, their rampaging about like this and burning someone in a cabin deliberately may have a more sinister purpose; to openly terrorise people, to say "Yes, we are crazy. Now what are you going to do about it?"

Dorner was a liar, a thief, a murderer, and an all-around loser; and now he's dead.

This woman was killed only for the crime of being the daughter of someone who Dorner thought wrong him. Is this the action of a hero. Do hero's kill the unarmed children of their enemy? Is this the man you aspire to be? No matter how true his grievances are, once he took someones like he lost my support. When he took an innocent life he lost all my sympathy. These are acts of revenge.

Not that the LAPD have any support or sympathy from me. They opened fire on random people based on evidence I would even call circumstantial. There is some evidence that the may have started the fire. It is clear to me that they where looking for a kill not an arrest. More revenge. The behaviour of both parties remind me more of gang behaviour. Both failed to take the high road.

There are no Heros here.

I am curious why Dorner (who was clearly not in a right state of mind) chose to kill the daughter of the man who represented him in his discpinary hearings (his advocate) and not the people whom (he claimed) conspired to have him thrown out. of the LAPD? something doesn't make sense with Dorner.

I understand your anger but it might help to take a leaf from the parents of murder victim Reeva Steenkamp who responded to their daughter's murderer in this way
