I did and my favorite winners were "Life of Pi" for Best Director, Cinematography, Visual Effects, and Original Score, "Brave" for Best Animated Film, Adele's "Skyfall" for Best Original Song, and Daniel Day-Lewis for Best Actor for "Lincoln".

I didn't watch the ceremonies, but I did look for results on Yahoo News, and CNN. I'm delighted Daniel Day Lewis won best actor for the title role in Lincoln.

Hi there! It's been a VERY long time since I've visited this site, but looking at these discussions, it's good to know that most people recognized the Academy Awards this year. As an award show fan of all sorts, I thought this years Oscars was pretty good.

Seth MacFarland was pretty okay, and there were moments when he was funny. It was good to see Anne Hathaway win Best Supporting Actress for 'Les Miserables', for she did a great job for her role and with her singing. She has a pretty voice. I wished that Hugh Jackman won Best Actor for his role in 'Les Miserables', but that other actor did a good job for 'Lincoln', so props to him.

Props also goes out to that actresses that almost fell on the steps (Jennifer Lawrence, I think her name is?) and made that little witty remark about the audience standing up for her just out of pity. Not everyone can brush it off their shoulders that easily. And some of the music performances were pretty good too.

One of the other things I like about these kind of awards shows is just seeing how the celebrities are dressed, and viewing their beautiful gowns. Well, that is all
