^^^^So you hope the other inhabitants of the den also get gassed?Like the idea of gas in the ground water? In ares where rattlers are rare on the east coast you see an increase in Lymes since it is transmitted first to rodents, which are the main meal of the rattlers. In some states they are protected.
I say f**k Texas.

Yeah, but bullsnakes aren't venomous. If you want an aggressive venomous snake endemic to North America, look no further than the cottonmouth.

The first snake I encounterd as a child was a cottonmouth basking on a stump. We just looked at each other,I told my parents and it did not end well for him.I have encounterd them and never seen any aggression, they are very protective of their young.I have had other people tell me they have been chased by them.I've yet to meet anyone that has been bitten by a cottonmouth or rattler but know several that have been copperhead bit, most did not seek medical attention. They do provide lots of excitement when they drop off a limb into a canoe.

I can't even to began to believe this is even on the table. You really have to be some kind of stupid to not recognized that pouring gasoline in to mother earth to contaminate the hiding places of a few rattlesnakes just to force them out is very harmful to the environment and all wildlife for years to come. Sweetwater Jaycees have been polluting the environment for 53 yrs now at there rattlesnake massacres and have gone virtually unchecked till now. We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility and are just fed up with this public display of total ignorance. It will not be tolerated any longer. It offends me that this is even on the table. Enough is enough. Did you know that in Nolan County, Sweetwater Texas that are 23 endangered species of wildlife and plants. I wonder why? Mother Earth is screaming out to us for help and nobody is listening. Wake up people before it's too late. We will be held accountable for this reckless stewardship of our planet. We are not the only ones who occupy this planet. Please, I implore you to stop the barbaric display of ignorance to go on any longer. For the first time in my life I am totally ashamed to call myself a Texan. Save us from ourselves, please. The people have spoken...

I would round all the rattle snakes up and breed them then let them go! I think they are cute and adorable! Sorry I have a soft side for snakes even venomous ones!

Yes put toxic chemicals in nature that not only kill rattlesnakes but other animals as well....people are awesome!

No seriously not sure how the rattlesnakes are stupid, they are just going about their buisiness being snakes...its the people who are stupid for pouring gasoline in the ground.

^^Kittens are cute, people would be outraged if they were tortured the way snakes are. Most people only care about saving the cute animals like polar bears and pandas.Just me making a point how the animals people love receive more compassion than a creature that people are afraid of.
