It commonly works that way. The "enemy of my enemy can be my momentary ally (not necessarily real 'friend')" is as common as dirt in real life. Too common perhaps. In fact its pretty much what the entire last 2000 years of European history was all about.


Ever heard of something called "World War Two"?

Stalin was allied to Churchill because both were enemies of Hitler. Churchill and Stalin would hardly have been "friends" otherwise.

France and Russia were allies for centuries because both were enemies of the German speaking countries of central Europe for centuries.

Israel and the Saudies share military intelligence because of their common enmity with Iran, and it's allies. Turkey got strong armed by the US/NATO to fight ISIS. Otherwise they would be allied with ISIS against the PKK because...they are both enemies of the PKK.

Why is that?

I agree - muslims have been a part of american society for as long as there has been american society.

I think it is a bit of a stretch to say that Jews are being oppressed in Europe especially by its impoverished Muslim minority, there might be some friction and less support overall for Israel but that's not oppression. The right wing populist parties are playing for more on worries about Muslim invaders than they are anything about Jews, all the populist movements and leaders right now off the top of my head(such as Geert Wilder and Nigel Farage) are decidedly pro-Israel. Front National has moved away from its antisemetic roots under Marine Le Pen, she has courted the Jewish vote heavily.

This thread is about Jews being oppressed but the fact is we all are, as we are being forced not only to live in a politically correct, non biased, non prejudiced legal system which we have now become humanly adept at .
Not speaking up about extreme militant fascism in other countries, such as South Korea, Russia, now Ukraine, intensifies our battle with the extreme radicalisation we see in Saudi Arabia, Iraq ,Syria, and Afghanistan in the middle East whom by all standards are active in their own movements to destabilise our “future” structure based on current Isis reports exposed throughout the social and written media.

We are seeing a change in my country from a supposedly peaceful society of Christian and other worldly groups, to holy mosques temples and schools being radicalised with teachers not speaking enough English and Synagogues being vandalised with arson.

Being a Christian living in a take down of Muslim worshippers whose children are running off to get married and join ISIS are either not relating or adjusting to the democratic culture my country has created for itself, amongst those many other nations.
You only have to look at the situation at Calais to see where I’m coming from and realise there’s no escape from migrants wishing to radicalise the population even more with tales of woe to find a new world, despite the fact, that New World was founded years ago and didn’t serve for Islamist extremists and trouble makers to dish up new recruits on British soil.

We’ve had the 7/7 bombing attacks commemorated this year, we’ve had young Muslim girls being converted to Isis, we’ve recently had 38 Brits killed in terrorist attacks in Tunisia and America has had its own fair share in which the Taliban made sure they would ’honour in the name of Allah.’ The Koran has been exploited by these so called terror groups and so we’ve had enough.

Religious groups have had their say on it and yet still it persists. We’re still at war don’t forget and that’s never going to go away any time soon.

Jews and Muslims have hated each other since the days of Christ’s crucifixion. Its been an unholy battle of uncivil religious mutiny and unrest. The fact we’re kicking Iran out of securing another nuclear deal is giving us a second chance to put our own needs first, given they’ve breached theirs.
Why not just try and resist tactics imposed on us and follow a U.S example of bombing all ISIS camps and be done with it.
I’m tired of religious wars where nobody can win. So put down your weapons ASAP and leave us ALL the hell alone.

Also- just so you know- Islam didn't exist until almost seven hundred years after Christ. So Jews and Muslims could not have "hated each other since the days of Christ crucifixion" because one of the two parties didn't exist yet.

And just so you know, I don't care about the points you've just raised with me. I'm not trying to score brownie points with you.
