It's sickening that Trump can say literally anything and he is still supported by tons of people. But it's not surprising- his supporters are racist sexist bigots just like him!

I'm curious to see the arguments of Trump supporters about this. How they will try to spin it as a reasonable thing to say and how the media is being unfair to him by publishing his own words about things.

It doesn't bother me. Not when Clinton was doing crap right in the Oval Office. Are you kidding? Unfortunately, guys talk like that, but actions speak louder than words for me. Trump would have to cheat on his wife to get any kind of reaction out of me.

Yeah, because Trump never famously cheated on any of his ex-wives.

Not in the White House - but we'll find out if he does, won't we? Until then......

So even against what you just yourself said, you actually don't have an issue with him cheating on his wives, as long as he doesn't cheat on his current wife if he gets into office? It would seem you have as much integrity in your online commenting as your idol has in his own words. You'll twist yourself in knots with your own words just to follow him mindlessly. The mental gymnastics are fascinating to observe, thanks for the insight. :thumleft:

The man who isn't a misogynist? How much evidence do people need? Here is another Trump quote showing his hateful attitude to women:

Women: “You have to treat ’em like s**t.” (New York magazine, Nov. 9, 1992)

The man has publicly admitted he finds his own daughter extremely f**kable and wants to date her 'except for the whole incest thing which is apparently bad, like, did you know incest is frowned upon? Otherwise I would totally date my daughter, she's so hot. Look at her smokin' body, etc etc etc.'

Apparently there really is nothing he could do or say that is low enough that it would shake some supporters of him. The phenomenon is as fascinating as it is horrifying. All I can say is I can't wait for the election to be over and I'm glad it's not my country this is happening in--10 years of Stephen Harper was bad enough to live through, I can't imagine having to deal with a national representative like Trump. How embarrassing for America.

At this point I don't know why Donald Trump is even allowed to run for president. He should be on a watchlist, not a ballot.

Unedited Tape

I heard that type of language and attitude all the time back when I was a teenager and 20 something from my peers. But once the people matured, married and had kids they stopped talking like that. What the second wave feminists back in the 70's called men with that attitide was "male chauvinist pig". A dated expression but still a correct assessment.

It might have been a defence mechanism on his part, I often resort to humour when I'm disgusted.

Leaving the crass language aside, what Trump actually says is that if you have enough money and power you can go around sexually assaulting people and they'll be to scared to do something about it. Which I suspect it's often true, but doesn't make his behaviour any less predatory.

Watch what he says now, or what he said then? His motive for this apology now is pretty transparent. He chose another misogynist for his running mate, and actions speak louder than the words of his self-serving apology to me.
