how does one defend against that without violence?

At the end of the day we rely on the rule of law to do that, to weigh the evidence, to not be swayed by the aura of power, money or influence, and to perceive and name the truth of these situations. If sexualised voyeurism is a crime in the USA, there is enough evidence now for him to be charged. He can present his denials and defence there.

https://www.avvo.com/legal-guides/ugc/t ... -voyeurism:

Excerpt:
Voyeurism refers to “spying" on people for the purpose of sexual stimulation. Voyeurism involves invading a person’s privacy by watching, and/or recording them without their knowledge or consent. In years past, male voyeurs were called “Peeping Toms," but with today’s modern technology, voyeurism has reached a whole other level.

Voyeurism can take place in a variety of different settings, and it can be recorded, or distributed on a variety of different levels. It can involve spying on women as they change in dressing rooms, it can include placing hidden cameras where the voyeur can look up women’s skirts, it can include taking pictures, or recording people as they change, or shower in locker rooms, or as people use the restroom. It can also involve taking pictures, or recording people at various states of undress or during sexual activity.

I saw an advert for sunglasses that had "rear view mirrors" that let you ogle people's backsides as they walked past one. is that voyeurism?

Not in a criminal sense. They are putting themselves in a public place where they know that strangers will be able to view their clothed bodies from various angles. We all see and are seen in public places. Consent is impracticable in that situation. It is sleazy though!

If, however, they were some kind of "x-ray" glasses which allowed you to view the naked body (or bottom) under the clothes, without the target's knowledge nor permission, that would probably be illegal behaviour where intent would be easy to prove.

Not many people know of the rape case in Nov either, accused of raping a 13 year old.

That makes me doubt its legitimacy, because otherwise everyone would know about it.

not exactly a coincidence that his father at that time suddenly packed him away to a strict military school a ways away, to get him out of the picture until things cooled down back home.

Everybody DOES know about it, cuz it's been reported many times, and linked, more-than-once, on this site----and, the date of the trial has been moved to December.

HE was NOT 13----the GIRL was----Trump was a GROWN man.

New York Magazine: An Exhaustive List of the Allegations Women Have Made Against Donald Trump

Quote:
Raping a 13-Year-Old at Jeffrey Epstein’s Apartment

A woman has accused Trump of raping her in 1994 when she was just 13 years old, according to BuzzFeed News. Trump has “vehemently denied the rape claims, which are being filed in a New York civil court for the third time,” BuzzFeed News reported. According to the suit, Trump allegedly had forcible sex with the plaintiff during a party at the New York City apartment of Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted pedophile who is a billionaire.

Is that really what those glasses are for?

I always thought it was so you can know if you're being followed.

[edit]: Well, if that's what those glasses are being used for, then I wouldn't call that voyeurism. Yes, ogling women in public spaces is creepy and it shouldn't be done, but what makes it voyeurism is the expectation of privacy.

And the award for "least surprising news ever" goes to...

In Australia, the New South Wales Parliament passed without objection a motion calling Trump a "disgusting slug" unfit for public office.

Congratulations, Australia can now call us out as bigoted. Use your toasted argument sandwiches against them, Trump supporters.

Watch Trump's DARVO performance here:

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/liv ... nton-obama

[DARVO is an acronym about common response of sexual abusers to accusations: Deny the abuse, Attack and/or blame victim, Reverse roles of Victim and Offender. DARVO may also involve gaslighting, and often does]

Does Trump know the difference between Australia and Austria?

Definitely. Think about it for a moment. Deeply familiar with Austria.

Also, Trump worries about what would happen to his hair in Australia.
