Former Lieutenant Colonel - He was director, briefly, of the FSB, which developed from one fragment of the dissolved KGB, and so is arguably not quite the direct successor it is assumed to be. [/pedant]

Yes this also seems plausible. The ultra-right anti-integration movement may have had a hand in JFK, Robert Kennedy and Martin Luther King. There were (and still are) very violent racists groups. who probably celebrated the death of those three. Their removal was probably a setback to black civil rights which has been dragging for a long time.

They most certainly did celebrate all three murders, the sick f*ckers.

Yes that's true, but my point was that his high position gave him access to past records/files, now that power would be even greater to access classified documents.

The case of RK was different in that Sirhan Sirhan was a Palestinian fanatic. He was, however, rabidly anti Jewish and many in the ultra-right show more than a little sympathy for Palestine as it feeds their anti-semetism

Possibly. Then again, choosing Sirhan might have been purposeful misdirection in order to keep light from being cast on them. I suspect the perpetrators feared RFK would reopen investigations into his brother's assassination, and getting convictions.

As long as it's OK to accuse Russians.

Image

This is why Rubenstein confessed.."I did this for my people, I had to, we have suffered enough already. The truth can not be allowed to be brought into the light"

And that's from Thomas Mosley and Echevarria over the Chicago gun running. JFK was killed the next day.

Trump talks about not releasing some files because of "foreign relations". Like there's a state that was involved the most because Kennedy was trying to stop them from getting nukes. Gee, I wonder what state that could be....

I think the Ruskis claimed (in released documents) that rogue elements in the KGB were operating outside of their jurisdiction. They were making alliances with ultra-right groups and anti-Castro factions to remove Kennedy

I am waiting for one of the Fox News followers to realise that the released files are fake. It should be obvious to them that files are just fake lies because they don't blame Hillary.

Cyberdad has a point. The 'what about Hillary...' club appears to have dwindling numbers, but those still in it are desperately trying to shout loudly and divert all Trump chat.

I was thinking It's because they view Hillary as an immoral criminal.
