Just another instance of fake news, the media reports one thing based on 1/8 the total information, the story is everywhere in hours, but the facts take three days to make the rounds and by then no one cares to hear them because they are already outraged about the first narrative. Now there are kids getting death threats from around the country because of the incompetence and bias of the mainstream media. Note all the people who went through all the clips to fact check the media weren't the media, just everyday people. Buzzfeed did the same with a story about Trump too, it was based on just two anonymous sources and the Mueller investigation had to say it wasn't the case. Did the media go out of their way to issue a correction to a story that made the rounds in hours, hell no!

For those who didn't get the correction(I don't blame you, the media never pushed that like the original story), The kids did nothing wrong, the Native American activist approached and called them names, he got in the kid's face, not the other way around. Their school simply pushed them under the bus to cover their own behinds.

The recent interaction in DC between high school students (one in particular) and an older activist who is Native American reminded me of a warning I once received from a colleague as to how I needed to prepare myself if I ever was in a hostile crowd or confronted.

Not the left. Information warfare. A real incident that you can simply amplify is far more efficient and effective than making fake news from scratch. And notice that it is the liberal media that is embracing a more nuanced view as new facts come to light. That's how it's supposed to work. The right didn't win this one, we all lost a little bit of unity as Americans. Just think about who that helps.

I agree with you, I want more evidence for both sides, only then can we have the truth. My issue is more that the media pushed this story front and centre with almost no information but one small video clip and a claim, of which, more video, from more angles have proven wrong. If the boys did anything wrong, it wasn't as the activist making the claims said they were. If more video comes out showing the boys at fault in some other way not previously seen, please call me out on it.

I wish for a return to the kind of media from the era of Huntly-Brinkly, and Cronkite, well fact checked, and once a day. This constant craziness(of which I'm a contributor of by virtue of online discussion and debate) is bad for everyone's spirit and sanity.
