I think a good part of demand for West Coast housing is that people are trying to escape states that Trump won in 2016.

I can't escape for I live in the one western wa. county that went overwhelmingly for that man in '16.

At least you can stay inside your tin can bubble and enjoy the escapism of the internet vs. have to subject yourself to the local politics. There's always a bright side.

yeh, I suppose. today was a winter wonderland, snow aplenty, and everything was resplendent in white, it was peaceful and quiet, sublimely beautiful tree-green, gray-blue sky, bright sunshine, white snow. then my MAGA neighbors brought out their noise-making RV stuff and sullied the snow and broke the air with a din that made me put on ear plugs while I was clearing snowpaths to the mailbox. :|

Very similar here, but I'm only a few hour drive away.

This was the view from my Winter home (house sitting) tonight before I shovelled the driveway:

No MAGA hats around here.. but I did wear my MWNA hat while out shovelling snow to keep the light falling snow off my head. This is a pic I snapped in the Summer the day I bought the hat at the beach: (Yes, this is me.)
