My Gran got Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever and it took them about 6 months to finally figure it out. She was in and out of hospitals, in to see specialists. It was awful. It took her years to feel whole again.

I was bitten by a deer tick once. I had to have it removed at the emergency room.

Comparing the data for USA and Sweden. Women get significantly less Lyme disease than men in the USA, while it seems to be more or less equal in Sweden. I'd expect the opposite if it was just a small sample size anomaly. There are a lot more cases in the USA than in Sweden.

You need a pet Opossum. They eat ticks and are very cute. They have a natural immunity to rabies and tick borne diseases and they get such a bad rap. I love possums. :heart:
