Trump's not exactly a movie star.
He's just a rich guy who used to get his kicks out of publicly firing people.

Yes. You could call the pre White House Trump a "TV star", a "celebrity", and "a New York socialite". But not a "movie star" like Reagan or like Arnold Schwartznegger. Not that being a movie star qualifies you anymore than being a real estate mogul turned media person does. Just that that wasnt his career path.

The only precedent for this...president... is not any other POTUS, but a recent prime minister of Italy: Silvio Buresconi.

Burseconi was a real estate mogul who ran apartment complexes, which needed to be supplied with cable TV, which led Buresconi to also become a cable TV mogul, and then he ran for the highest office in the land (without prior political experience). At least Reagan had the experience of being governor of California before becoming POTUS.

And Burlesconi is much like Trump in both right wing politics, and in his penchant for getting into scandal.

tRump was never a movie star. He’s failed businessperson who became a host of a reality game show.

Say that Reagan was a better actor is even a bit of a stretch. He was never anything more than a 3rd rate movie actor, as well as a radio and tv host. The only time Reagan showed his mettle was when he teamed up with Harry Carey to announce a Chicago Cubs game.
