Looks pretty cool too, about £120 GBP

Has battery assisted breathing.

likely much better than fabric masks.

Looks pretty cool too.

Interesting, and I thought that the only alternative was a condom and scuba tank.
Oh, I don't know ... maybe going full MOPP would be better...

Ahh ... those were the days...

Good point. Would get expensive to keep refilling the scuba tank

The fact that a piece of fabric can prevent viral transmission is not only highly dubious, it is a living joke.

Bull$hit.

The article doesn't prove s**t. It's only an isolated case study.

Oh there are plenty more.

Anyone whining about having to wear a little piece of cloth over their nose and mouth for a few hours should be forced to wear one of those MOPP outfits in a desert environment for three whole days ... I was never so glad to take a shower after a field deployment in my entire military career.

Please submit your own research paper, or a working link thereto, for our own review and study.

You are a fully-qualified virologist, are you not?

I'm a physicist.

Look at the article carefully. They don't hold realistic control variables and much of the content is conjectural.

Maybe you should stick to that instead of doling out medical advice you are not qualified to give.

My niece (an RN) reports that the last words of one of her patients (whom she did not name) were, "I ain't got no covid and I ain't wearin' no mask!"  The next day, he was inside one of those body-bags being trundled out to a refrigeration trailer.

To his very last breath (such as it was), he denied the coronavirus and the need to wear a mask.

I wonder how his family feels about that...

In a technical sense, the patient was right. "I ain't got no..." Is a double negative.

Yeah ... you do have a point.  He's still dead, though.

Is your niece in the new York area?

She's at a leading hospital in a major metropolitan area.  That's all I am going to say about it.

I understand, I just asked new York specifically because it was the main place to hear about refrigerator trucks being brought around.

I am not sick and tired of having to wear a mask. It is an inconvenience, but it is a minor one compared to what many are going through - and I've been through worse, myself.

But I *am* sick and tired of the spoiled and whiny brats who contribute to prolonging the epidemic and the lockdown by not adhering to the public health restrictions and guidelines.

I'm worried this will become a social norm or forced indefinitely. I'm not a Covid Denier but the so called elected leaders are using this situation to pass more laws and exert more power over people. Sort of like after 9-11.

I just pity the gullible liberals and conservatives who don't question what the media tells them. This pandemic is controlled by fear, and sponsored by the media.
