"and all the rest" ended after the first season when bob denver insisted on full character attribution in the theme song.

The weather started getting rough, the tiny ship was tossed, if not for the courage of the fearless crew, the Minnow would be lost... The Minnow would be lost

The ship's aground on this desert isle...
With Gilligan, the Skipper too
The millionare and his wife
The movie star
The Professor and Mary Ann
All here on Gilligan's Isle.

Uh...close enough.

From memory:

So this is a tale about castaways
They're here for a long-long time
They'll have to make the best of things
It's an awful crime

No ??
No lights, no motorcars
Not a single luxury
Like Robinson Crusoe, primitive as can be

So join us hear each week my friends
You're sure to get a smile
With seven stranded castaways
Here on Gilligan's Isle.

How'd I do?

I do think the elderly are at greater risk of COVID. She was 82. I read she wasn't doing too well these past few years.

Still, I'm amazed Ginger is the sole survivor. She's looked very sickly and corpse-like for over 20 years. That's not to be mean, just that I assumed Mary Anne would be the last one left.

Sounds close. I never memorized the closing song. Although I believe it goes, "it's an uphill climb".

[the following is bob denver's revised 2nd season lyrics]
Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale
A tale of a fateful trip
That started from this tropic port
Aboard this tiny ship
The mate was a mighty sailing man
The skipper brave and sure
Five passengers set sail that day
For a three hour tour, a three hour tour
The weather started getting rough
The tiny ship was tossed
If not for the courage of the fearless crew
The minnow would be lost, the minnow would be lost
The ship set ground on the shore
Of this uncharted desert isle
With Gilligan, the skipper too
The millionaire and his wife, the movie star
Professor and Mary Ann's
Here on Gilligan's isle
So this is the tale of our castaways
They're here for a long, long time
They'll have to make the best of things
It's an uphill climb
The first mate and his skipper too
Will do their very best
To make the others comfortable
In the tropic island nest
No phones, no lights, no motor cars
Not a single luxury
Like Robinson Crusoe
It's primitive as can be
So join us here each week my friend
You're sure to get a smile
From seven stranded castaways
Here on Gilligan's isle
Yeah with Gilligan, the skipper too
The millionaire and his wife
The movie star
Professor and Mary Ann's
Here on Gilligan's isle

I agree. I think most in their 80s and in poor health aren't likely to survive it.

I first saw the show not on TV Land or Youtube but on CBS. And you had to watch the shows when they were aired.

Gilligan's Island was a funny show, it always seemed funny Mrs Howell had all those clothes for a three hour tour and all the others had the same clothes on. :D

I first saw it on TBS reruns in the late 80s. It aired around 7:00am (Central time), and I would watch it before I left for school.

The Professor took his whole library with him on the three hour tour. I guess he had planned to get a lot of reading in.

I saw the closing theme on YT, “It’s an uphill climb” is correct.
