So translating this into plain English
1) The military will not abide by any order from lame duck president
2) The military will intervene if there are protests (anywhere or just in Washington?)
3) The military have powers to shoot to kill (or will they be opening doors and blowing kisses and taking selfies like the Capitol police)?

The use of the military inside the US is a little more complex. They are not designed for police action.

So only point 1) is correct then?


Trump is still president. Any lawful order must be carried out by the military, but the use of the military for police actions is limited. At 12:01 on Jan 20, then Biden takes charge.
