That strikes me as odd. A human brain is a fairly recognisable thing, there aren't many other animals' brains that are anywhere near the same shape and size as a human brain.

Monkey brain sounds like a possibility tho...

it's been funny following this story, especially since this is in my hometown here :D They had a forensic scientist look at it and they found that it wasn't human brain material, but they didn't know what kind of animal it actually was! 8O
