I hope someone got fired over that!

I think if Steve Jobs read the email, and replied, telling they guy he was eligible for a free upgrade, the Store Manager involved is most likely gone.

The good Lord loves idiot Managers, he made so many of them...;)

I've fixed my share of laptops for freaks and otherwise (every cleaned rat droppings out of a PC? me neither; we 86'd that one...;). No matter what the customer does, you try your best to help them. Though I haven't fixed a Mac since the early 90s...;)

I'm typing on an imac right now.

I've always been happier with macs than with pc's; I delayed moving to OSX for a long time because the user format is so much more like windows than the old OS.

Yes,they look good.

-it shouldn't matter whether he said he had as or not,if he had not said anything, the shop keeper might have said worse- how many people have been called things like pyscho by people who don't know what they're talking about? if it's a proper apple store-they can get very busy, and noisy-maybe this is why he was trying to explain incase they thought he was some pyscho after seeing him react to overload.

It's a shame that people have to say things that low. It doesn't make it any worse just because the person who was called a freak has AS...but the fact that the manager even said it in the first place is completely wrong. It shows just what type of person he really is...not a nice one.

The idiot manager is most likely autism-phobic.

That guy should get his a** fired.

And this is why, after all the bad hype about Windows and security, i still prefer my PC to a Mac.

That same thing happened to me at a local Thai restaurant. The waitress thought I was "freaky" and she told one of her co workers. Problem was, I overheard it. So, I wrote her a note saying "I'm freaky because I'm Autistic, what's your excuse". She profusely apologized. I only went there again one time, only because you can get a cheap appetizer that fills you up just for a buck 50 and I was desperate to get my epileptic girlfriend some food because she seizures when she doesn't eat. Other than that, that Thai restaurant can pound sand. I took my business elsewhere and I told the girl that.

That's what I would have told the Apple store owner too.

People called me 'Freaky' and meant it as an insult... I am not happy with this and thus hope that in this case, the manager will get trouble.

should be fired. Bill Gates(Steve Jobs old friend) has autism. Brad Cohen the bittorent creator has autism. Steve Jobs would probably fire him.

If anyone the freak it is him for displaying the action in the store. An adult should have enough maturity to refrain from saying such comments especially a manager.

I agree. When I went there, I was told it would cost me $400 for a new hard drive. Fortunately, the guy I talked to was nice enough to recommend other places that would charge less than half of that.
