I can't imagine what it must be like. in Newfoundland we don't experience many tropical storms, we did get a post-tropical-storm a year back, but it did not cause a lot of damage in comparison to what happend in the gulf coast.

They do occasionally happen in the maritime's, Hurricane Juan hit Nova Scotia

i saw some article in todays paper about a lion that ended up in a church with some people. It did not harm them in any way. It was a calm lion.
apparently a tiger also escaped from the zoo along with other animals.
