The great thing about being a liberal is that you're expected to be caught with child pornography, illegal drugs, or extra-marital mistresses. It's much less hypocritical for them, because all the common defenses of those actions are in the form of liberal arguments. "It's just art!" "I was just expanding my consciousness!" "I have an adultery gene, and can't help cheating on my wife!" "I had a bad childhood!"

So, if anyone ever stands up against wrong behavior (meaning if they turn conservative in some ways), but still aren't morally perfect (as none of us are), then they become the "hypocrites" in society -- not because they did wrong things (as everyone does), but because they objected to doing wrong things.

So, since all of us are morally imperfect, those who speak out against moral imperfection are therefore the "hypocrites".
Whereas, those who both do evil and advocate doing evil are "honest".

People are people no matter if they are liberal or conservative. All are imperfect in the end.
