What are they trying to do, make a burger for Jabba the Hutt or something?

4800 calories? Who in their right mind would want to eat something like that?

I certainly would not.

Personally I'd NEVER eat something like that.
However, if someone else wants to that's THEIR choice.

I think the addition of salsa and chili makes the burger look gross than it actually is. I would eat it if it was just the patty and lots of cheese. :D

It is too much for one person, the biggest I ever ate was a third that size. One idea is to have one for 3-6 people, put it in the center of the table, cut it into wedges like a cake or a pizza, and just eat a slice or two each.

it's a 'macho' thing. There's places that, for instance, server a 54-oz steak, which is free if you finish it in 1 hour. It's out West somewhere, as I remember.

too much bread on it anyway. Anything over a mouthful and all that...;)

72 OZ steak, its located in Amarillo, Texas. Billboards advertise that 300 miles either side on I-40. I heard varying accounts of success, but it is very rare. You have to not only eat the steak, but everything else that comes with it.

Texas...my home state...yeah, figured we'd be the ones. Yeah, making you eat everything else is cheating on their part...;) That's 4 and a half pounds....

I think I saw some sort of vegetation on it so it is still too healthy.

I eat about 5000 calories a day because of my size, metabolism, and activity level. That isn't cheap. If that burger was cheap I'd think about it.

No way I'm eating that. I'm on a 2000 kcal/day diet. And I don't eat red meat. :eew:

There's no way I would want to eat that by myself.

Adam Richman on Man Vs Food has made an entire show based on eating monstrosities like this burger. His show is on the Travel Channel.

he DID eat the whole sandwich by himself!
