It might be interesting seeing a debate between someone who's very vocal and animated against someone using a voice synthesizer ala Stephen Hawking and wearing a deadpan expression.

No one says "end of the world" or planet per se, but major climate change will affect how humanity lives and speed up extinction of numerous species. We may find things getting uncomfortable as the years go by, and need to make great changes in order to cope. I have a 2 year old nephew and two nieces. I often wonder how their future will be. The planet itself will remain as it has for 4 billion years of so, but the life on it faces significant change unless we do something urgently to turn things around. Tesla foresaw these things 100 years ago.

What I don't get is if there are zillions of people all who are so genuinely worried about CO2 and carbon, why are they still diving around and riding in airplanes etc? Electric cars should be outselling gas powered ones 10 to 1. But that's not what's happening. I see mostly brand new expensive gas powered cars in Seattle, which is packed with liberal save the climate types. Maybe when they all stop using fossil fuel, when their actions match their words, I'll take them more seriously.

So true.

There was MUCH more, to that whole day involving his Christian school than what the vast majority of us saw and what everyone lost their minds about. Disgusting how the media never tells the whole story.

Here, we have usually had weather quite similar to that in Siberia, where I watch a web cam that has the same latitude about 180 deg E or W. This year, they have had it too hot for comfort, and we have had a very cool year. Rain and even snow are ruining the harvest. Without Arctic ice, the winds are finding new preferred routes.

Where I am in Western Washington, everything has been normal to the point of being perfect imo. We had a nice cool summer. It wasn't really until towards the end of summer that it started getting warmer than I like it, but was still normal. Fall arrived like someone flipping a change season switch. This weekend snowfall in the mountains is expected.

Based on that speech given by a girl back in 1992, they were saying the same kinds of things about the weather back then as well. So as a layperson it's hard for me to know exactly what to believe. If I go by early 90s predictions I should be living in a wasteland or already killed by the climate by now.

Well, if you don't want to look past the end of your nose, havn't you been smelling some forest fires? My friend in Medford had to leave town, and there have been a lot of evacuees here in recent years.
The world I was trying to save is clearly doomed now, with methane boiling out of the arctic, ancient peat bogs on fire, and no hope for a return of the Arctic ice cap.

There have always been forest fires in summer. Smokey the Bear has been around nearly 70 years. But as the population and hosing expands, there are going to be more people experiencing problems.
Volcanic activity could be causing issues in the Arctic.

Merging the distinctly oppressive struggle of autism with divisive climate change politics, what could go wrong?

The past is past. What's important now is that if you're still a teenager you may be able to rent yourself out for the next Democrat debate.

Democrats Introduce Debate Strategy Of Holding Up Small Child Whenever Their Positions Are Challenged

U.S.—Democrats are bringing a new tactic to the next presidential debate. Each candidate will arrive on the debate stage with a child to hold up whenever someone tries to question or challenge any of the statements they make.

"This cable TV debate format doesn't allow for long-winded answers and rebuttals. You gotta make your point and you need people to move on," said news anchor Anderson Cooper in support of the new debate technique.

Recently, presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren was asked about accepting lobbyist money and she immediately lifted up a five-year-old girl named Sophie.

"Why are you attacking this child? Are you some kind of monster?"

...Darmok, I put a length reply that didn't go up - it's lost now  . I was rather sarcastic in it. So, for this new attempt, I will be straightforward :|.
Could you point me to somewhere where those death threats the parents of Little AOC received atmre preserved? Quoted? Perhaps quotes from the authorities that the parents reported the threat-makers to who are trying to track those despicable makers of death threats to 8-year-old lipstick-wearers' parents down? Ethel Merman and Jack Klugman sang " Small World "...and it IS!! !! !! ! 8)

Darmok isn't really contributing anything to this debate except a bunch of silly memes! I know he can do better.

Climate change shouldn't be divisive. And there's no reason a person can't begin their crusade while young. There are plenty examples in history. Joan of Arc comes to mind but there ate many others.
