Trump did look angry. And a bit miserable. Surprising in someone who just won.

One thing that's clear, he's not about to become any kind of unifier.

I think the weight of the office is hitting him. It's a victory, but it's just the start of four years of endless work, and this particular job will affect the entire world. That's a lot of pressure. And if you listen to his speech, he definitely wants to bring the country together. The problem is, nobody is going to give him a chance.

I meant to ask what did you guys who aren't into Trump think of his speech? Like, objectively?

He did look grim and the speech directly addressed a lot of major problems. But it's a heavy responsibility he just took on.

Well most Democrats seem to be boycotting the Inauguration. And there's nothing wrong with sharing excitement about one's candidate winning.

Well he could start by quitting all his endless raging on twitter, and not hiring a guy who thinks climate change which is acknowledged by most of the world is entirely B.S. as well as not trashing all environmental regulations and essentially creating an environmental free-for all where big buisiness has free reign to pollute however much they damn well please. Environmental regression is a bad idea in my opinion...I am trying very hard to be optimistic but he's not doing much to help that thus far.

His speech was mostly familiar if you followed his campaign, he took a more solemn tone of course than one of his rallies but reaffirmed the principles that he ran on.

Those protests are getting scary. Some have turned into riots. One reporter had a pressure grenade go off right in front of him. The reporters have balls of steel to be out in the middle of that.

F*ck a reporter just got caught in the middle of a riot police charge! I just about died of a heart attack! It looked like he got trampled, but he's OK. It's the Fox News coverage.

Some parts you may not have seen:

Inauguration protesters vandalize city, try to disrupt Trump’s oath, police arrest nearly 100

Protesters made themselves heard in the nation’s capital Friday, leaving a trail of damage along some city blocks and disrupting security checkpoints to President Donald Trump’s inauguration, where they slowed crowds from entering onto the Mall and, in at least one spot, stopped them completely.

As people poured into the city to watch Trump sworn in as the 45th president, they encountered protesters across the area throughout the day. Many of the demonstrations were nonviolent, with people holding signs that spoke to their causes and concern. One protest even took on a carnival atmosphere, with puppets, stilt walkers and a giant inflatable elephant wearing a sign that read “racism.” But other groups tried to disrupt the day’s events by burning flags, throwing bricks and rioting en masse, leading to injuries and nearly 100 arrests by early afternoon.
