They have already redone Aunt Jemima.You must not buy that product or you'd know the chubby lady with the doo-rag on her head has been gone a very long time.Uncle Ben looks like a distinguished chef,no reason to get upset over that.They have also removed the Black lady from the front of Plantation Blackstrap molasses.

Well apparently they havent updated thier website yet because that woman is still black, which implies (in the minds of some) that all blacks are good for is making pancakes for white people...........at least thats what it would mean to a liberal looking for trouble to make out of nothing.

I've held my tongue, for a lonnnnng time, now, regarding your posts, cuz I respect you----but, I can hold it, no longer.....
A Confederate memorial ALSO commemorates BLACK people who fought/died in the Civil War----it's bad enough, when some black people don't know that; but, when some white people, don't know it----ESPECIALLY one who currently lives-in a state that seceded, and was a Confederate state.....
There's NO black person, alive, TODAY, who can be "reminded" of "a whip across the back", cuz no black person, alive, today, has ever experienced that, in the way you're meaning (a black slave, being whipped). How can a person be "reminded" of something, that never happened, to THEM??
Black people aren't the ONLY ones, who have a rough history, and a history that includes the Confederacy. As I've said, before, I'm part Indian (Native American)----and, NOT several generations-back, either (my maternal grandmother stepped right off the reservation, and right up to the altar, to marry my grandfather)----and, my people saw just as much slaughter, slavery, and death from horrible diseases, as black people, did----PLUS, we were already HERE, and our homes / land were taken, from us----but, you don't hear US whinin', to the extent of the tree-huggin'/statue-removal people.
So, if NAs can let things go, and not whine about it, so can anybody else!! If there are blacks who can walk-by Confederate statues, everyday, and not give birth to kittens, each time, then so can other black people----besides, like I said, I doubt most people, no.1, even look-up to see who/what a statue is, because we have too many other things, on our mind; and, no.2, I doubt most people even knew who/what they were (even if they DID look-up), before people started raisin' all this fuss, about them.
Again, one group's rights should NOT be taken-away, so another group can have THEIR rights!! People who keep doin' all these shenanigans, and refuse to be civil, and consider EVERYBODY'S right, risk having those rights taken-away, from EVERYBODY----INCLUDING the people doin' the shenanigans; but, they're too emotional, to see that logic.
