Tashfeen made her pledge of loyalty to the Caliph just as the attack began.

FBI is treating it as terrorism.

is false. It's a fairly even mix, not predominated by any one race. That includes serial killers as well. It's like saying all thugs are black. It's just false.

I'm in the area where this happened. I know the people (not the shooters, but the victims, and the victim's friends and family - they're my friends, or... were, in some cases...). I worked for the county, my mom did as well, and we have many friends who do as well. The county buildings are still shut down, including schools, the fear is still there along with the confusion and mourning.

And I see people spouting about gun laws, and I want to know, what laws would have prevented this from happening? How can laws stop people who broke the laws we already have? They bought guns and modified them to be automatic, with extra large clips, which are very illegal here. Pipe bombs are illegal here. These people didn't care about the laws. They were Daesh terrorists and they had been planning this for a while. How can you stop that?

We're already a crime ridden area full of gang violence, and domestic violence, and if you know the right people, you can get an unregistered firearm within the day. We have people smuggling weapons and drugs and various other things into this area. We're broke, the county has been making cuts to the police and fire departments for years, what are we supposed to do? No one cares that we have people dying due to gang violence all the time here. Who cares if an innocent family gets caught in the crossfire? Only when it fits an agenda. So what are we supposed to do?

I was talking specifically about mass shootings which I thought that was true about, if I am wrong then I am open to any information that says otherwise. But yeah I wasn't talking about all violent crime..just mass shootings.

But that was my whole point even if most such shootings are committed by them it wouldn't make sense to classify all white male as would be shooters. Just like it doesn't make sense to classify all muslims as terrorists.

You totally missed my point which was it would be stupid to profile white males and people with autism, based on the actions of some. Just like I think it is wrong to profile all muslims as terrorists because of the actions of some, ISIS/DAESH does not represent all muslims and even kills muslims along with non-believers.

If it's too liberal of me to suggest we don't use this attack to turn muslims and arabs into second class citizens or 'deport' them(obviously ignoring the fact there are muslims who are citizens of the united states)based on the actions of extremists...than I guess I'm a bleeding heart pinko liberal commie and proud of it. Also I have been in an active shooter situation having to wonder if the gunman was going to come into the classroom I was in and shoot us but instead it was a different classroom but a student was still shot...so don't you go making your assumptions that I have no experience with the aftermath of violence. Also if you don't like my posts don't read them but I have every right to post here so don't tell me to shut the f*** up.

And what of the recent Colorado shooting, I guess people who target planned parenthood for violence are so much more safe than any domestic Islamic terrorists we may have in this country.

I am glad that you were safe, and I hope that the student who was shot also survived.

You know what, though ? We - you and I - are never going to agree. We are only going to continue arguing this to death, and I don't want to do that. I want to do whatever it takes to keep my little ones safe, and I am sure that you want to do whatever is your priority. Neither of us has to be "wrong". You have rights and responsibilities, I have rights and responsibilities. The twain shall never meet, but I have no hard feelings and don't want to argue with you anymore. I am here to learn how to support my boy, and I have no business even being in such a political sub-forum, especially since I can't control my emotions over some very sensitive / touchy topics / hot button issues.

Therefore, I am going back to the Parent, the GAD and the Women's forum as my time there will be productive.

I am sorry for cursing at you, it wasn't right, and you have the right to express your views and opinions, even those that upset me.

Have a good day, and see you around in the other sub-forums.

This article breaks down the percentages fairly well, despite being a tumblr account
This one shows that they are proportionate to the US's demographics. Meaning that the population in the US is made up of about 63% white and 13% black, while mass murderers are about 64% white and 16% black. (considering that Hispanic/Latinos make up a good percentage more than blacks in the US, you'd think they'd have more mass murderers, but they're not listed as such)
And no, I don't want to go back to profiling everyone who might be a terrorist.

But I am at a loss on what can be done to stop these terrorists. What can we do, without profiling?

And now Obama is pushing more than ever to add 10,000 Syrian refugees that the Republicans say come from a country filled with Islamic terrorists. Most are young men of fighting age. Europe is already having a problem with the refugees to where it's being called an "invasion". Why is Obama wanting to bring these refugees here especially after this attack? Obama still won't come out and say it was terrorism. I'm telling you that Obama is on their side and wants this country to be taken down and invaded. Marshall Law will be instated and Obama will never leave the Whitehouse.

And if this shooter terrorist guy had several men visiting his condo bringing stuff in the middle of the night, then those men are also a part of it and still at large. I can't believe that people are thinking that it's all over. It isn't over - it's just beginning.

Well I suppose we will see if your prediction comes true...then I guess you can tell us all that you told us so.

Don't address me again if you're going to use that smug attitude. What I find funny is that people will stick behind a President no matter what he does just because they want to be loyal to a party. Look at the facts of what's going on around you instead of following like a damn sheep. People need to learn how to think for themselves and make logical decisions with their own brains.

Considering all government/county buildings, including schools, are still closed, the threat is still possible.

It's possible other incidents may take place. There is still a lot we don't know. There might have been others involved and there might not have been. It's still to early to be sure.

I still say it's best to wait until things calm down before hanging on to any particular detail. The story is still developing and the investigation is still in its infancy. But to each his own.

I think that the FBI and ATF have a good idea what happened. Its two Radicalized Islamists who committed a horrendous act of terrorism. This guy was appearing on the "radar" of the FBI. We know he went to Saudi Arabia several times and visited Radical Islamists websites. He had enough ammo and pipe bombs to start WWIII

I think that last bit is most definitely an exaggeration.

They had thousands of rounds of ammo, numerous long rifle weapons and pipe bombs. That is enough to outfit a small army

You have no place making this statement based on the rude things you say to anyone who disagrees with you. You are the one with the smug attitude here. You should really work on your attitude problem before you try to call others out.

Also if you post on a public forum then you don't get to decide who can address you.

Then I'm going to answer back just like I did because what I said was not rude - it was fact - then SHE addressed ME rudely. I suggest staying out of something that doesn't concern you.

I don't identify as a Democrat, and am not really all that fond of Obama, though I like him better than all the current right wing candidates and better than Hilary Clinton but that is not saying much. I simply have never seen/heard any confirmation Obama is a Muslim or that he supports Muslim terrorists so I do not think what you predict will happen so of course I am smug about it. I think obviously Islamic terrorism is a serious threat but I don't think Obama is 'one of them.'...if it turns out you're correct then so be it, if it turns out your not than I suppose I was right to be smug.

And I do look at facts, I read multiple sources on an event before I form a specific opinion.... plus I asked you to back up your claims with facts twice at least and was willing to look at them and you just keep insisting you're correct without providing any sources/evidence. So what exactly is it I am blindly following?

I said you could tell us you told us so if you prove to be correct, not really sure how that is even rude. It is not a fact that Obama is giong to declare martial law an give over this nation to the ISIS or whatever, nor is it a confirmed fact that he is a Muslim let alone supports Islamic Terrorism.

I responded to it like a prediction I think wont come to pass...based on having no evidence to go on aside from a random person on the internet telling me it will.

Nursesngela

It's your history of posts, not just the ones in this thread. You have history of being very disrespectful to some of the people on here. For you to call anyone else here rude is the pot calling the kettle black. And again this is a PUBLIC forum I can speak to anything I want here.

The same thing was commonly said about the previous president.
