if Nathan Phillips had done that to me, it probably would have caused me to have a meltdown.

Banging a drum right up in someones face is walking forward is it?

Would Nathan Phillips do that do a Biker dude or does he only "walk forward" to children?

Nathan Phillips' personality strikes me as pacifist in nature.

In other words, yes, social media users may have rushed to judgment before the full confrontation was revealed (as usual), but the reaction from Trumpers in defense of the students was itself, premature and ludicrously forgiving, as if these boys were guileless victims and not dishing out toxic behavior of their own. salon.com

What Toxic behaviour?

Is Salon the same publication that had the "I'm a pedophile but not a monster" article?

Doxing people and trying to ruin their lives is more than judgement. I don't blame people for judging them at first but acting on that judgement without looking into it is wrong.

Approaching a young man, who, in his arrogance, decided to challenge someone who looked different as a perceived enemy, emboldened as he was by his peers, who were making racist gestures.

How did he challenge anyone?

What racist gestures where they making? The Throwing the football thing they were doing before the old guy showed up?

It's a tomahawk chop. And he challenged Nathan Phillips by remaining in position with plenty of space around him to back up a step. He's smiling because he thinks he's being clever.

Wtf this is America so the person standing their ground is the victim. I don’t have to move out of the way for anyone we don’t have kings in this nation and I’m not a peasant that needs to move.

If it were an intimidating biker dude, sure, but an elder playing a song? GTFO of here.

How where they intimidating him? He walked into their crowd and got into the face of a child.

A biker dude probably wouldn't feel the need to bully a child.

Not what I call bullying. I call it walking forward. The typical human steps aside to let someone pass. Why did Nick Sandmann feel intimidated?

If a maga hat wearing guy had walked into a crowd of women’s march kids youd say he was bullying them.
The group was there already the guy shouldn’t have gone rushing into them expecting them to move.

From an account of the events I read, the boys were taunting some black men when the indigenous men began drumming and singing to assertively defuse the situation peacefully. That's why Nathan was staring him down; he was a peaceful, assertive, adult putting an unruly child in his place with his song & gaze.

full video coverage appears to show that the black men started yelling unkind things at the kids, the kids started doing their school rally shouts to drown them out, then the Indian protesters walked into the group of kids, invading their space, up to standing within inches of one of them chanting and banging a drum in his face.

Here's a different perspective than yours on the extended video. Basically, she says the extended video makes the boys appear even worse, not better. https://wokesloth.com/viral-thread-uned ... n=bloomjoy

When the pop up tells about whitelisting them , you can just click at the bottom where it says you don't love god and access the article. Personally I think the articles starts to lose credibility when she calls out basketball players making WP signs ( White Power not Wrong Planet , although maybe we should adopt that sign  ).

I can not answer for Nick but if I were Sandmann and people have been calling me and my group "cracker" and "incest babies" for an hour and a half, the person next to him was telling me to go back to Europe I definitively would have interpreted Philips actions as hostile.
More likely it never would have gotten that far because at age 17 I would have reacted violently to being called "incest babies". If "incest babies" are not fighting words I do not know what is.
