Lets start with stop subsidising coal/oil/military to the tune of trillions and divert that wasted money into i) alternative energy research ii) carbon sequestering technology iii) emission control technology

We have enough stockpiled weapons to destroy the earth a million times over but we can't spend money on something simple like solar battery technology. Heck! even nuclear power-stations could save future generations.

The current generation of climate skeptic politicians will be nowhere to be found when the environment goes to hell...

Those are just ideas with no details on how they are to be implemented and how they will play out. You are continuing to express your knowledge in an extremely brief and vague manner. Which tells me you do not have much knowledge along those lines. It is a quintessential example of easier said than done.

Of course, we should use more solar energy and hydroelectric energy.

I feel like we're sort of on the right path----maybe the progress should accelerate slightly. We are implementing more "green" sorts of energy like solar energy, hydroelectric energy, others that are in the back of my mind--but, with a little research, would come to the fore of my mind.

If we, all of a sudden, just did away with oil, coal, etc., this might cause problems because of all the adjustments that have to be made. All the accommodations that would have to be made.

A gradual change is probably better than a sudden change.

That's what I am referring to. A sudden dramatic change shutting tons of stuff down while simultaneously starting up a bunch of stuff.

And I think such changes are in the works as a matter of technological progress that is taking place anyways regardless of climate change. The faster it progresses the better.

I doubt anyone is scared of her. They just don't take her seriously because she is a high strung "little girl". It's like Pippi Longstocking addresses the UN.

Diverting money from the useless military or NSA to alternative energy research is a valid idea :roll:

How would killing Greta Thunberg change anything? How would it stop her from saying what she already said? JFK was the leader of America and the free world. Are you saying Greta Thunberg is the leader of climate change science and CO2/carbon reform? Is this like "And a little child shall lead them" from the Bible?

I wouldn't elevate her to that level but she's an inconvenience in the same vein as Michael Moore...too much publicity
