Trump certainly shouldn’t have just lolled around watching TV.

He knew after 15 minutes. He should have at least made some sort of statement then….then called his “inner circle” and high executive branch officials into a “control room” sort of situation. That’s what any person in an executive position would have done.

He told those rioters that he loved them, and perpetuated his delusions. The man should be indicted for fomenting a rebellion.

I looks like all this committee is going to be able to establish is that Trump was being Trump.

What’s funny is Josh Hawley fist pumping the rioters then running for his life like a scared rabbit when they invade the Capital.

Tell me, folks:

What other President would have withdrew into a room to watch TV while a riot was going on at the Capitol?

Would this have been tolerated if, say, Nixon withdrew into a room to watch TV?

So I've heard for six years. Nothing new. Nothing groundbreaking. More nothingburger. In the words of Clara Peller...

Trump is the very definition of "dereliction of duty."

At least Giuliani, as Mayor of NYC during 9/11, showed SOME leadership. Yes, THAT Giuliani.

Giuliani didn't withdraw to watch TV while the First Responders were combing through the rubble at Ground Zero.

Nixon was a politician.

Trump was a fluke.

The people who hate Trump couldn't possible hate him to any greater extent.

Those who don't hate Trump got worn out from six years of essentially the same orange man bad stories.

Facts don't care about your feelings.

Whether you love him or hate him; fact is he committed multiple crimes and they're coming to light - and he should face consequences for them.

Many of those who publicly testified at the hearings-----were staunch Trump loyalists. Even they believe he went way too far with his coup attempt.

So far I haven't heard anything about actual crimes, which is why anecdotes are making the headlines. It's like when Geraldo Rivera revealed what was inside AL Capone's vaults.

..because you refuse to watch the J6 hearings where they’re laying this stuff all out clear as day.

They labor under the illusion that we're too embarrassed, ashamed, and/or in denial to watch that dog & pony show.
The fact is that we just don't give enough of a rats ass and that worries the hell out of them. They know that Trump could actually win in '24 and it would be 4-8 years of hell for them.

From a liberal perspective, they really should be seeing Trump as the lesser evil to DeSantis who is an experienced conservative politician with a history of intentionally smacking liberals around.
