They labor under the illusion that we're too embarrassed, ashamed, and/or in denial to watch that dog & pony show.
The fact is that we just don't give enough of a rats ass and that worries the hell out of them. They know that Trump could actually win in '24 and it would be 4-8 years of hell for them.
From a liberal perspective, they really should be seeing Trump as the lesser evil to DeSantis who is an experienced conservative politician with a history of intentionally smacking liberals around.
