She is a figurehead king/queen/princess of the global CC effort. She has many qualifications for this role.

Youth means she will be more affected by CC.
Small country origin gives her more globalist credibility.
Like DT she is an un-politician.
We know what being Aspie gives her, and others probably have a vague idea why that is a plus.
The biggest advantage is her immunity from criticism from the press.
I'm sure she angers many which is the sure sign the fight against CC is really getting started.

When I got my first EV in 2013, I joked to friends I wouldn't be happy until an angry mob rolled it over. The most I got was one keying . People just dismiss the fight as un-realist and there are many working to change that. Greta is our globalist leader :D.

I mean, "Listen to her! She's a child, therefore nobody can question her or you're a bad bad person!". Yes, I agree people shouldn't belittle her since she's a child. Therefore, why the Hell would you make a child the spokesperson for this scientific argument if it's going to *force* people to agree with her and leave her alone because she's a child?

What's amusing to me is the number of pro-Greta types you used my age to belittle me over the years. Including the person who started this thread. And another who's currently posting in it, who recently used the "just a kid" line on me.

I've never belittled you for your age, and barely spoken to you. What posts are you referring to?

I was just commenting on the subject. Was in no way trying to insinuate you ever made any such comment. Posts in many threads in News and Current Events over the years.

I have mixed feelings about Greta becoming the most famous autistic person in the world.

I do have a lot of disagreements with her cause for some of the reasons others have stated.

That an autistic is Time’s person of the year and the influence that is awarded for is beyond something I could have imagined, it is electrifying.

I am also very impressed how she is handling the bullying from “adults” who should know better.

Of course she being used but from what I see quite willingly. The notion she is being manipulated like a puppet because she autistic is offensive.

I totally get where you're coming from on this.

I'm surprised there is so much dominance of "emotional mind" on the autism forums...
Any large support of Greta is purely from an emotional position. So sad to me how people don't realize the world elite have been using emotion to control and manipulate the population at such a rate. There's nothing logical about placing the opinion of a 17 year old on science as the highest and best source of truth.

It's completely insane. She's not brave for making a video. Millions of people have made videos. People with an agenda are using her to further their own quest. There's nothing more to it. And this doesn't mean that she's not an amazing person. She probably is. The planet is just full of gullible people who fall for an emotional argument every single time. It's exhausting.

In regards to Greta being a willing participant. I too thought I was a willing participant to many quests in my teens which were later revealed as nothing more than adults manipulating me for their own personal gain.
This is exactly the kind of trauma that can sting an autistic person later in life when they realize their naive self wasn't ready for what was thrown at them. The mask will go on, they will look like pure success for years... Until everyone has forgotten about them, until they have been fully used and have no benefit to provide those taking advantage of them...

I swear it's like half the people on this site haven't actually ever experienced "autism."

I'll say it in every post so that my sentiments are not misconstrued toward her at all. What makes me sick are the adults who are so desperate to push an agenda, and are so scientifically weak on their point as all of their predicted models have failed, that they are using an autistic teen-ager to promote their own agenda as they have failed with science, reason and logic and have gone full blown emotional to get support... So sick.

We (editorially) should not fall into the trap of thinking because it happened "like this" to me, so it will be for others.

We all learn and grow throughout our lives. At each life stage, we can look back and see how "ripped off" we were, or we can see what we have learned and grown from. It is not realistic to think that life is without challenges. Our parents made mistakes. I made mistakes in my parenting. It goes on.

We share autism with Greta. I have great support for her, whether or not I "agree with" climate change. (How the hell do you "agree" with a fact???)

The facts are there. She is stating them. People are listening to her. She deserves our support and commendation.

Tax cuts seem like the obvious solution to global warming.

Tax cuts will let us have money to buy solar panels, home windmills, green energy products and electric cars.

Overly praising a person really rubs me up the wrong way.

Thing is, the data she pushes is wrong in several aspects and the imminent doom that we have to instate a global ecodictatorship to avert isn't going to be here any time soon. But somehow I doubt she and her crowd would be open to the idea of the world not being in imminent peril, because if it isnt then they're not the heroes they think of themselves as.

Nobody is doing that. There is nothing stopping you or anyone else from looking up the latest work on climate science, downloading and reading the PDFs, and emailing the authors to ask for explanations on anything you might not understand. THat's what Greta has been doing most of this year.

She is brave for spending two weeks camping in a roller coaster, with no shower, toilet, kitchen or bed, and then hopping on the New York subway. Then traveling around North America with only her father, showing up at those rallies, then boarding another boat in mid-November, the worst time to be sailing east from the United States. She is brave for needling Putin (need I say more?)

And yes, everyone out there with the same agenda as her, is using her to forward that agenda, myself included , because she's done a better job of it than anyone before.

I've heard it's not a cult because there's no cult leader. Obviously there is one now.
