And if that were true how is that my only problem? I am pretty sure I have more than one problem right now.......Depression is a pretty big one as is the anxiety and whatever else is wrong with my mind.

So basically you're letting one group of problems in your lifestyle feed the other group of problems in your lifestyle it sounds like. Depression and general downcast attitude feeds bad results and bad life, feed depression and general downcast attitude ad infinitum. Something wrong with this evaluation? Also, why do you suck? You're polite. You don't get whacked off with me because you're not impatient, and you sound like someone I can trust to have at my back. So you don't suck.

I don't feel I am to blame for my current state of mind...of course I don't always handle things in the best way which can certainly contribute but other people have contributed, my environment has contributed, my genetics have contributed. I have anxiety with my depression so its really difficult not to obsess over how I feel. Depression is more then just a downcast attitude, its a quite horrible thing to deal with but yes feeling that way adds to negitve thinking and negitve thinking can feed depression.....its a vicious cycle pretty much.

I suck because I'm burnt out on college, and suck at working......sure I try and treat others how I want to be treated, I always try to find the good in people but what employer cares if you're a good person? they prefer competitive people who are willing to put their morals aside to play the game.

I don't blame you for being depressed. Autistic people just tend to be sensitive about all sorts of social ills like bullying. They cannot ignore the terrible feelings it causes. It's just that you're in a psychological trap. It takes extraordinary effort and perseverance and understanding to change it, or a change in lifestyle initiated from the outside.

I know. I deal with that fact every day of my life. But Sweetleaf, if we as a community ever aggregated, then I can be sure that I would trust you. I'd prefer to nurture you, rather than go for some borderline sociopath who got through the hard knock life because he had a tiny conscience.

Bullying?
What about it?
I’ve been bullied in and in turn I’ve dished out my fair share of bullying.
It’s a give and take kind of world and will continue to be.

...yeah.

I have bullied people before, but I made sure to quickly change my ways and even apologize. I consider someone who does something nasty for a bad reason to not only be a monster, but a threat to my well-being. The only people who say 'it's a give and take world' are the kind of people who say 'if it aint broke don't fix it', when there are improvements to be made, the people who say '1 failure to 9 successes' in the height of the great leap forward. There is one religious phrase I like: Evil begets evil. I like to break the cycle.

Only someone like you could take a real world comon sense phrase like "it's a give and take world "and write a condemning paragraph like that just because.
Whatever.........

Well actually no, I wrote a critical paragraph because of comments like this:
Raptor wrote:

This is considered normal or common sense?

Raptor wrote:

This isn't common sense. This is just being a jerk. Bullying other people just because it happens. That's what you were saying.

I pointed out the paragraph as soon as you started talking about murdering your parents for being annoying and saying that bullying others is fine because it's 'give and take'. Trying to isolate the one acceptable comment in what you said and holding it against me isn't going to get you anywhere when the rest of what you said is quite deserving of what I said is pretty damned desperate. In the context of the rest of what you said 'Give and take' in fact even that doesn't come across as sensible. It's a give and take world doesn't justify bullying. That's just circular thinking of the cruellest kind.

Yes, because adding redundant layers of sarcasm is really helping your case. Your attempt to create a running joke to spite me is vindictive.

Just as a warning this is going to call for a triple eye-roll at the end.

The thing about killing my parents for being annoying was meant as dark humor, and obviously not to be taken literally.

As for the bullying thing what I meant was just as I wrote, not what you elected to read into it just out of need for a pathetic comeback.

You need to come over to the Politics, Philosophy, and Religion forum. If your this quarrelsome all the time that would be just the place.

The only running joke here is you…….

And, as promised

Yes, of course. Convenient. Unfalsifiable. Unverifiable. Absolutely out of context with the rest of what you said. Extraordinarily stupid nonetheless. An argument from incredulity is the only thing defending you here, and that's a logical fallacy in of itself.

Yep, yep. I read that you said it's a give and take word. You bully people. People bullied you. That's the way the world works. Sounds like a justification to me. Also I don't make comebacks, because I am not pathetic. I make counter-arguments.

Raptor wrote:

Maybe you should start by looking where anyone else has started whinging about where I should go, and find out that no one else does it. Maybe you should start looking at the fact that you have managed to turn the argument from death penalty versus not death penalty in to 'I am not going to directly attack you because I can't justify anything I said'. If the PPR forum is filled with people who make insinuations and blind accusations like you then maybe they sound call it the Hecklers' club, but then again I might be offending hecklers unduly there...

Ad hominem arguments, argument from mockery. Real laughing stocks are built on arguments like these. I never said anyone was a running joke anyway. I said the eyerolls were. So what you're saying just comes across as bitter and it's also pathetic. Trying to fling mud and hoping that I'd care to rise to it. As usual the eyerolls betray a triteness and vengefulness that by all means needs no further explanation. So much for your identification of who is a laughing stock.

Your replies are proof that there is in fact free wifi at the state mental institution.
You have NO grasp of dry wit, dark humor, or even the fact that someone could possibly have a differnt view of anything.
You pick other peoples' posts apart and you overstate your own points ad nauseam.
Call it what you want but Im done with you in this thread.
For me to continue on would be picking on the mentally handycapped.

This is just outright pointless slander now. I don't stoop to the level of saying you have mental issues.
Raptor wrote:

I do have a grasp of them. The fact is that you have no ability to tell when it is wholly inappropriate. I began by showing how what you said was inappropriate, saying that you'd kill your own parents 'for being annoying'. How dare I then disagree that you were trying to be ironic, or use 'dark humour', when the rest of what you said was deadpan serious. Well, how dare I indeed.
Raptor wrote:

How do I make points ad nauseam if I pick apart your posts? Ad nauseam implies that I am just reiterating and not taking account of what you are saying, but I have each time been picking apart what you say. So yeah, even your own posts contradict your false assertions.

You are the only one who has done anything ad nauseam:

And it's the worst kind too. You only started using that trick because you thought it might hurt me. It's frankly disgusting. If you don't want me to make similar sounding arguments then maybe you should stop doing such inane rubbish like this constantly.

One more thing you might not understand. Maybe you don't get what the point of analysis is. Analysis is where you pick apart something and try to figure out or interpret it for what it is. It is much better than making opinionated, self-serving benders as way of a response because it actually means you are being objective. So far you have never challenged my objectivity, just made more and more heinous accusations about me. It's the refuge of every person who can't actually keep a lid on their ego.

Here we go, the good old 'you're to blame because you wont listen' trick.

All this time you are the one who has made these backsliding comments about 'what you really meant' and skirted around actually responding to what I said directly by making each of your posts a postscript that barely takes account of what I am saying. Like every other idiot who doesn't listen, saying that you've had enough whilst at the same time including spite goes to show that you never intended to have a proper discussion, and that all you have done is tub-thumping for your own service.

And that is horrid of you to suggest any connection between me and the mentally handicapped, just because it is another of those gutless logical fallacies that attempts to draw attention away from any real argument you are making, and an attempt to discredit what I say based on some insult, rather than on the content of what I have put.

^ Some of us Aspies were simply too determined to make something of ourselves to wallow long in self-revulsion. This does not make us "Half-NTs".

Dear Green89tom, Are you saying that half of the people posting in this forum are NT, not Aspies, or are you saying that the posters/members are such 'High Functioning Aspergers' that you feel we are only 'half NT, half Aspergers', which I believe is not possible. Please clarify....Sylkat 8O

it seems to me that there are lots of posters here on WP who are so high functioning that whatever aspie proclivities they have can be conveniently ignored. they remind me of the character "O'brien" in orwell's novel "1984" who was, as a privileged inner party member, able to turn off his telescreen and not listen to the constant harangue in the background. the high-functioning types have existential privileges i would love to have.

Dear Aunt Blabby, I categorize myself as 'high functioning', but the proclivities, in my case the stimming and the funny noises are not conveniently ignored, rather, it is a constant fight/effort to NOT do the things I feel compelled to do. I still 'lecture' rather than converse, and have to make myself LOOK at people and wonder if I've stared rather than met someone's eyes 'politely' and always, ALWAYS wonder if I've said the wrong thing (and I frequently do), and seem to appear as argumentative when I'm not. I think maybe within our community there may be a lot of misunderstanding of each other, maybe this is something that deserves a thread or discussion. I feel that I/we are like alcoholics who are aware every minute that they can fall off of the wagon, but people who don't know about the HFA or addiction just think there is a somewhat odd personality.
