Well intentioned or not, they are bringing something that has been going on for a long time to light.
The sad thing about it is, most people will never look further than what is put in front of their faces and therefore this campaign will never address the long term underlying issues that have created this situation in the first place.
Until you address the issues going on with natural resources in that region (oil, gas, gold, diamonds, cobalt, coltan, copper tin etc) none of this is going to stop and another person like Kony will appear to profit from smuggling, slavery, sex trafficking, child soldiers, kidnapping, arms dealing as well as things like natural resources which is what lights and fuels these conflicts in the first place. The fact that the Ugandan army has been implicated in these activities along with the Rwandans and have been smuggling natural resources out of the Congo only add to the complexity of the situation.
