Well you either smoke it or eat it(like in edibles, it can be cooked with), I don't know I just don't think the phrase 'taking marijuana' makes as much sense as like taking adderall(or any drug that comes in pill form, or I guess I would count snorting or injecting drugs 'taking them' but to me it doesn't make sense with things you smoke or eat aside from mushrooms but I guess maybe that is because you eat the straight mushroom rather then cooking say pot brownies for instance. With cannabis its more you can either smoke it, vaporize it(which is kind of like smoking it) or edible goods can be made with it though they usually have a longer onset smoking or vaporizing is quicker. Anyways it can effect different people differently it makes me feel better mentally/emotionally and even physically which in turn seems to make me a bit more active or motivated for things. Its also quite relaxing and the feeling of being stoned is nice(though its hard to describe kind of one of those things you'd have to experience to know what feels like) I also more or less have self medicated with it, but now I've been prescribed meds so I don't feel I rely on it as much as before, though I don't know that relying on klonopin is really a whole lot better.

Thank you Sweetleaf, that's a lot of info. Although it's illegal here, it's a social norm to a lot of people. With many people smoking it through a bong; I've heard edibles are a rarity though, simply because of the cost. (I think $15nz get's you a "ding.")

anyway, I'm rambling. thanks for the info.

Well it being illegal makes edibles especially difficult unless you have an MMJ card and can go to dispensaries for medical marijuana. It takes more cannabis to make edibles and it has to be done right since heat can destroy THC and other useful chemicals in the marijuana. That is partially why i haven't got much into edibles, but also I have to admit I like the faster onset that comes with smoking or vaporizing. But if the legalization thing works out in my state its likely cannabis would be offered for competitive prices meaning one may be able to get more for less than it costs now due to the risks involved with it being illegal.

If marijuana were legal, here would be my habits with it:

- I will use it about twice a week, but no more than that regularly. I want my tolerance to stay low, and I suspect the "magic" of marijuana will go if I started using daily. It will probably be mostly on weekends, or on select nights when I really, really need to get enough sleep for something and sleep will be difficult otherwise.
- Almost no matter what job I end up with, I will NEVER go to work under the influence of marijuana. I see that like going to work drunk - it will only impair performance in the vast majority of jobs - especially any job I'm likely to get!
- Unlike some people I know, I will NEVER drive under the influence of marijuana. I may space out and not pay attention to traffic while stoned. Others seem to be better suited for driving while stoned, though (but not extremely so!)

For me, marijuana helps me GREATLY with sleep. If I'm stoned enough, I fall asleep in <30 minutes and stay asleep through the night, something that very rarely happens when I'm sober.
